"Why aren't you eating? You haven't had anything since seven last night." She asked.

"I can't." I simply said.

"Why not?" Demi's sister, Dallas i think, asked.

"Daddy said I would get fat."

DEMI'S POV

Everyone froze when she said that. I could not believe that bastard would make an eight year old think that. especially one that's severely under weight.  I was shaking in anger. Those words made me struggle though so much and I'll be damned if I let my daughter go through what I have been though.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to talk so loud." Rachel said and started to shake.

"No no, baby you didn't talk too loud." I said as I pulled her off her current chair and onto my lap.

She struggled for a little bit but she eventually calmed down.

"Rachel you are not fat in the slightest, in fact you are too small and skinny." I told her as I held her face in my direction.

"Like I have told you so many times before, what you daddy said before isn't true and his rules are wrong, okay?"

She nodded then sniffled. I guess it was hard to have to ignore everything you were taught in order to live better than you were when you abide by the lessons and rules. I couldn't do anything but hug her and tell her that everything was going to be okay.

"Let's try eating some more, yeah?" I asked when she was relatively calm.

She nodded then wiped her eyes. I cut a piece of her food then held it up to her lips. She looked at me and I nodded. She slowly took the food from the fork and chewed.

"Good job, angel." I praised.

I continued this process. I cut a piece, hold it up to her mouth and nod for permission, she takes it slowly, then I praise, repeat. Once she was halfway with another piece she whimpered when I held the food up to her face signaling that she was full.  I put the food down then lied her head on my shoulder.

"Good job my love." I said while rocking us back and forth.

I looked up at my family and they all had smiles on their faces. Rex put his large head on my knee and he looked like he was smiling. I patted his head then continued to rock us until I felt Rachel's slow breathing.

"Demi, are you ready?" Momma asked.

"Yeah, let's go, I'll pay." I said taking out my wallet.

"Nope." Dad said.

"I already called it."

"Too bad." He said as he called our waitress over.

I whined as he gave her his card.

"I'm gonna miss your dogs Demi." Maddie said as she held Cinderella to her face.

"Gee thanks Maddie, I really feel the love." I said with a roll of my eyes.

"Don't worry Demi, I'll miss your daughter so she won't feel left out." Dallas said with a smirk.

"What the hell is this? Wheres my 'I'll miss you Demi' or 'Please do make me leave Momma, I'll miss her too much.' like what hell!" I said making everyone laugh.

"Demitra you best stop with all that cursing, I don't want my grand baby to pick up on that."

I laughed then nodded, knowing full well that I probably wouldn't stop. I stood up with Rachel making Rex stand as well. I gave my whole family a hug then walked with Momma to my car. I put Rachel into the car seat, well I tried to put her into the car seat. I ended up putting the bottom buck into the wrong hole. Momma laughed at me before correcting it. I huffed then walked to the other side and let Rex in first. Momma placed Batman and Cinderella into the back seat and then closed the door.
