"Anne! Anne where are you?!" Hell broke loose. Nobody had seen Anne in days. They all thought she was safe with the Berry's, but now Diana screamed through the streets.
"Diana! Come inside now!" Mr. Berry had finally realized one of his girls were missing.
"But Anne is somewhere out there!"
"That is not our concern!"
"Yes, it is!" While Diana kept screaming at her father Mrs. Berry had come outside, "She was supposed to be safe with us until we had found a family for her, but she thought it was better for her to run! Isn't that harming your reputation father?!" The anger in Diana's voice was clearly noticeable.
"That ugly, red headed orphan belongs where she is and you know that?!"
"That might be true, but only because she may be somewhere where she is accepted and loved as opposed to here!" All the people were shocked by this statement. No one had noticed that Anne lived a very depressing life in Avonlea.
Mrs. Berry decided to join them in the argument: "Stop that right now, Diana. No man will ever want you like this."
"Maybe I don't want a man if I need to be quiet about everything all the time. Maybe I just wan to be able to say anything I want at all times. And maybe I just want to find Anne!" Everyone kept quiet. No one knew what to say at least that's what it looked like.
"It's my life and I'm gonna do with it whatever I want." After Diana said that she run, as fast as she could, as far as she could. The wind made her hair fly. Her dress was a bit to long for running and somethings she would trip just a bit over it.
"Anne! Anne! Please come to me!" She screamed at the top of her lungs. She did this the entire time she was running. She never got a responds.
After half an hour running through the forest, Diana thought it would be a good idea to rest for a while. A tree trunk that was on the ground made for a perfect bench. Worry filled itself in her mind. Mostly worry about what her parents would say about it. But the black haired girl managed to shack the worry off of her and sat down on the dead tree.
"Diana! What are you doing sitting on a tree trunk?!" Diana hadn't noticed the crunches of the branches while her parents had approached her.
"Is was just sitting."
"On a tree trunk?! Are you feeling alright dear?"
"I'm fine. We just need to find Anne."
"Dear, that orphan girl doesn't belong inside your head. You need to go home and get some rest. You're clearly not fine."
"You don't understand this at all do you?!"
"We do, but you need think about yourself and your reputation right now?" Those words were exactly what she expected to hear from her mother.
"My reputation?! Is that what you care about?!"
"Of course we do."
"Then wouldn't it be good for my reputation to rescue Anne?!"
"We don't want you to be seen with her, Diana! Understand that!" Diana had never seen her father this angry, she didn't dare to speak one word, not even a sound. She needed to go to Anne. She didn't know how, but she needed to have an idea fast. She needed to have more time, she would have more time if she'd run.
"My feat will kill me tonight" Did she just say that out loud?
"What do you mean?" She did. Now she needed to run, faster than before. And she did. The branches left marks on her faces and some made her skin feel like it was burning. But it didn't matter, nothing mattered except finding Anne.
Some time later Diana fell on the ground, exhausted. Her legs were killing her.
Branches got crushed and leaves fell down, that was part of nature. But every time it happened Diana got scared and it wanted her to be able to go back in time, to when she was a toddler. To a time where she didn't had to think about her reputation and what she did so that a guy would wanna marry her.
The pain in her legs got worse with every step she took, but there she couldn't head back now. She had gone to far in the forest and she didn't know how to get back. Diana decided it was a good idea to just walk for here and hope for a small river to get her way back to the world she knew.
After a long time of wondering, something strange happened. The world spun around her and she felt a bit nauseous all of a sudden. The world started to spin faster and faster and faster and faster. Till everything was black.
