My phone vibrates next to me, I glance at the id before picking up.
"Hey Max," I say.
"Hey Lil, you busy?" He asks.
"Nah, mum and dad just went out. You wanna come over?"
"Sure," he says. "See you soon."
"Yeah," I say hanging up.
I turn off the tv and go change into my pyjamas I get the tub of ice cream out of my private freezer and begin to eat it.
Downstairs the doorbell rings and I put away the ice cream before going to see who it is.
"Jacob?!" I say.
He flashes me his smile.
"What are you doing here?" I ask.
"I locked myself out can I use your phone?" He asks.
"Sure,"I say. "Come in."
He comes in and goes straight to the living room like he's done so many times before.
"You know where the phone is."
He makes his call and I go into the kitchen to make some more popcorn.
Jacob peers round the door.
"You can come in," I say.
"Dad isn't gonna be home for a while," he says loitering by the counter.
"Let me guess, you need to stay here?!"
Again he smiles.
"Go chose a movie," I huff.
He chuckles running off.
"Where you gonna watch a movie all on your own?" He shouts.
"No, Max is coming over," I answer.
"He should be here soon."
"I remember Max. Is he your boyfriend now? Is that why you won't go out with me? "
"No."
"That's good," he mumbles.
"What's that?"
"Oh just that I wouldn't want to intrude on a evening with your boyfriend."
