I rush out of the restaurant. My eyes catch Jacob storming round a corner. Quickly, I run after him.
"Jacob!" I yell after him. "Wait up!"
He stops but doesn't turn around. As I reach him I place my hand on his shoulder.
"What happened back there?" I ask.
He hangs his head, still admin to turn around.
"Jacob!" I insist walking round to face him.
He slowly looks up, taking his hands out of his pockets. His eyes are foggy. I stroke his cheek and he smiles before pulling me into a deep kiss by my waist. But I can feel the pain in his kiss. He pulls away with a fake smile but I frown at him. The smile fades.
"What's wrong?" He asks when I fold my arms.
"I came out here for answers, Jacob, not a kiss," I say.
The frown lines deepen in his forehead.
"Amelia called me this morning, after you did," he stares at his shoes.
"What did she say?" I ask unfolding my arms.
"She was worried. You started drinking again. After our fight?" He says looking up at me.
"What is it with you and my mum!? Thinking just because I get into a fight or wake up looking like crap that I've started drinking again!" I yell.
I storm away from him but he catches my arm.
"︎Lily, I'm worried about you," he says his eyes full of concern.
I shrug him off.
"That's not your place," I say instantly regretting the words but walking away all the same.
