Recently Gun had been out doing a lot of business by himself. With his schedule so packed (Name) had a lot of work put on her as well. She was just happy that last week she made her first debt repayment. Gun had given her the money to do it herself for the sake of her privacy.
The payment was the only thing making her happy at the moment because her heavy work load made dealing with idiots more painful than usual. (Name) would have to be twice as persistent since people were blowing her off without Gun. Normally he was the scary one and she didn't have to do all that much.
Without Gun (Name) had to do it all. She basically began gaining a reputation of her own. She was grateful to Gun for insisting on giving her fighting lessons because they had really paid off. Her natural skill worked well with Gun's fighting style. She was far from his skill level, but common thugs couldn't compete with her even with having just two weeks of training.
By the end of the week (Name) got the nickname Underground Vixen. Part if it was from the smooth tone she used when talking to the debtors. The other part from her shady customers and nobody's ability to track where she came from. Rumors circulated and (Name) started feeling like people were just trying to make her out to be some sort of modern day monster.
She only used the amount of force she had to, but people were acting like she skinned people alive. Debt collecting was easier but the annoyance was still there thanks to the rumors.
High school kids were another bother this week. Everywhere (Name) went some teens were running around talking about some camguys on Pacebook. They were doing some freaky shit online apparently. The last she had overheard they called out some big-shot gangster on the platform. It made (Name) roll her eyes. Kids were too dramatic now a days.
"Yes! Please alert the police" (Name) heard off in the distance. Curious and done with work for the day she made her way over. When she got there an old man was yelling at five kids who looked to be fighting before.
When the man left one of the guys started recording on his phone. "Everyone, I found my attackers" he started "Violence is very bad, but I cannot forgive these guys for insulting my mother, but Taejoon Park escaped the scene while I dealt with Doo Lee."
She recognized those names. Taejoon, Doo, and Daehoon were the three Pacebook guys she'd been hearing about all week. It looked like it was going to be a big punishment for the two scrawnier guys. (Name) couldn't help but feel bad for the two. Maybe they did all that crazy stuff like she did when she borrowed that money. They seemed different in person than what she heard about them doing online. Doo Lee was on his knees apologizing and Taejoon wasn't cocky at all. Daehoon wasn't as sweet as teens had said either.
(Name) decided to follow them and see what was really going on. The three drove around looking for the escaped Taejoon so (Name) chose to wait around the construction site where they left Doo. Unlike the poor boy in the cold she sat in her car. It was really one of Gun's cars but he let her use it to get around.
She watched as the three boys pulled up in a taxi with Taejoon. Waiting for them to get inside (Name) spotted three more boys walking up to the building. She saw them enter the building and followed a bit behind them to avoid being seen.
Inside she could see Doo and Taejoon stripped down to their underwear. The three boys who entered after seemed to be hiding for the moment and talking. She could only see their backs. Turns out they were friends of the two Pacebook guys.
Daehoon started explaining his plan for the next scene. (Name) realizing the scenario was fake almost left right that second. It was only when the boys came out of hiding that her attention was captured again.
"Do you know how much my account is worth? $50,000," Daehoon yelled.
The boy wearing a grey suit and muted green jacket just ignored him. "Taejoon, just ask for forgivness and I will make sure to leave here together."
He didn't get an answer. "Taejoon, answer me. Do you want to film this? If it's your will I'll respect that". At his promise Daejoon cries and blubbers out that all he wanted was attention. It pulled at (Name)'s heart strings. He must really have been a lonely guy to get himself into that kind of trouble, but the other guy wanted to save him from the situation.
At the sight of it Daehoon got pissed. He hated that the guy was ignoring him. That's when (Name) saw the other guys face. "You are a bad guy" (Name) remembered this blockhead. It was the kid from the Jae Won auction parking lot who fought Gun, Vasco. "If you keep this up...I will beat you." (Name) smirked a little. He was straight forward as ever. She then looked over to the other two boys. From the back of their heads she could recognize one as the boy Crystal bought a date with in the auction, Daniel. The other guy, wearing casts on his arms, she wasn't so sure about.
Turning back to the action (Name) saw Daehoon and his guys shake from the sight of Vasco's tattoos. Vasco nearly broke Daehoon's arm from squeezing it. Vasco spouted some random nonsense that Daejoon seemed to be the only one to understand, before Daehoon said he could take him and they'd film with Doo. That's when the guy in casts that (Name) didn't recognize stepped up. He began to beat on Daehoon saying he was paying him back two fold. Once Daehoon was passed out and bleeding he then gave Doo his jacket, while Vasco sent the other two thugs to their knees.
(Name) watched as the scene before her wrapped up. Daniel was recorded saying the incident was fake, and the five friends left. She stayed out of sight and watched them leave. Once they were gone she came out. "Here," she said to the two thugs. She had a roll of bandages in her hand. "Your friend could use these."
The two acted aggressive and angry but took the roll. They half haphazardly sent her a thanks over their shoulder. As they finished Daehoon started to wake up. They asked how he felt but he pushed them off and locked eyes with (Name).
He looked at her for a while and then recognition crossed his face. He looked scared of her before gritting his teeth and trying to be brave. "The Underground Vixen, what are you doing here?"
(Name) stood looking down at him as he sat on the floor. "I was going to beat you but it seems those boys got you first." Daehoon shifted back away from her. "I'm not gonna do it now, after all I gave them those bandages."
"Then why'd you stick around?" he sounded angry still but not as bad as before.
(Name) thought to herself for a minute letting her face show the same thing. "I hadn't thought of it before, but now that you ask...I want you to be my back-up" she said like it was nothing. Daehoon and his goons only showed confusion. "If stuff gets like this week often it'd be good for me to have extra hands and eyes, you know. So be my back-up and I'll be yours" she finished and stuck her hand out to shake.
After the legendary stuff he heard (Name) had done there was no way he'd turn her down. He wanted her on his side as much as she did him. Shaking her hand it was a deal. "Good," she said internally happy with herself that her idea worked "Now try to stay out of too many fights. You're nineteen now so you don't want to get into too much trouble". Walking out of the building she could feel their eyes linger on her. "Another fighter like Gun. I must be looking for trouble" she whispered to herself.
