Ticci Toby, Masky and Hoodie can easily work as the Ninja Turtles did on Injustice 2 and Triborg on MKX. You select the one you want to play as and the other two come in for assists on some attacks. I'm not saying all three have to be joined at the hips or a pallet swap of each other, but this would allow the three to stand out from the other Killers whom also happen to be teen boys wielding edged weaponry.
Their Finisher can also utilze the idea of the other children who followed Slenderman, showing a legion that slowly grows as light over the opponent flickers on and off. All before it fades to black and we hear the mob rush attack of the Proxies united.
As to why the Proxies would turn on their master, it's in their nature.
