Fighting the League of Villains together was no easy task. Now take and separate all of Class 1-A and put them on their own. That was nearly impossible.
Izuku was on his own. Separated from the rest of his class by the cerulean flames blazing through the landscape. Their class trip had been transformed into a nightmare, when the League had attacked in the middle of their training, they had all been separated.
He surveyed his surroundings. No villains were attacking him currently but he was willing to bet someone else was dealing with them.
"Okay, my best bet is to get out and back to the buildings." He thought.
He ran in the direction of the buildings. He was stopped by a heart wrenching scream. His stomach dropped.
"Was that... Uraraka!?" He thought just as he yelled. "Uraraka!"
He sprinted in the direction of the scream. He called upon One For All. Green lightning cracking around him as his speed was increased.
He arrived at a clearing, in the center was Uraraka. She was pinned down by a teenage girl from the League. He was pretty sure her name was Toga. He noticed her calf was bleeding pretty badly and she looked like she had some serious burns running along her legs.
"Look at this blood! Isn't blood just sooo adorable?" The girl pinning Uraraka down chimed.
Uraraka winced. Tears were at the brim of her eyes.
"Hey! Get your hands off her!" Izuku yelled as he charged at Toga.
Izuku normally would use One For All on an opponent where it was unnecessary, but the sight of Uraraka crying and in pain fueled him to fight by all means necessary.
He hit Toga with ten percent of One For All. The girl went flying and he swooped in and grabbed Uraraka bridal style and ran.
She whimpered in his arms and it tore at his heart.
He ran until he reached a different clearing. He sat Uraraka up against a rock.
"T-thank you, Deku." She whispered.
"Hey, what happened back there? How'd you get so beat up?" He said, concern in his voice.
"I-I was running from that girl and had to run through some of the fire, that's how my legs got burned. I tripped and twisted my ankle. She got me and stabbed my leg." Tears streaked her face.
"We've got to stop the bleeding first. Can I use your shirt you're wearing on top?
"Mmh." She nodded as she unbuttoned her top shirt and slipped it off her shoulders. She shivered due to now only wearing a t-shirt in the cool night.
Izuku took and wrapped the shirt's sleeve around her calf. She yelped in pain.
"Sorry!" He said, "There you're done."
"T-thank you."
"Here." He unzipped his hoodie and draped it over her shoulders.
"Are you sure?"
"You definitely need it more than me. Now, can you stand?"
"I don't know, ow!" She winced again.
"What's wrong?" He said worriedly.
"The burns on my legs, they really hurt." She cried out, she clenched her teeth, clearly trying not to scream.
"Hey, hey. Focus on me. Don't think about the burns, just focus on me, okay?" He said as he sat down right next to her.
She looked into his eyes. Focusing on his beautiful green eyes. His kind smile. The little freckles scattered across his cheeks and the bridge of his nose.
She wrapped her arms around his neck, burrowing her face in his shoulder.
Izuku was taken aback. He wrapped his arms hesitantly around her.
"Why am I so weak?" She murmured.
"Huh?" Izuku was confused. What'd she mean by that?
"I'm weak, I can't do anything without having other people swoop in and save me. How can I ever be a hero?"
"Uraraka! You've got that all wrong! You're one of the strongest people I know. You are so capable of becoming a hero," he nearly yelled. He was so shocked that she thought she couldn't become a hero.
"You really mean it?" She murmured into his shoulder.
"Of course I mean it. You are incredibly strong. You are amazing, Uraraka. Even if you can't see it yet, I and all of our other classmates can." His words were soft and kind.
"Thank you, Deku," she whispered.
"Now come on, I'll carry you back to camp so we can get you patched up." He picked her up bridal style again.
He took off in the direction out of camp. The wind whistled through her hair. The green lightning was giving off the slightest light, illuminating the ground.
She rested her head against his chest. The pain in her legs was still searing, but Deku made the pain lessen. She knew Deku would be able to get her back safely. She closed her eyes, knowing Deku would be the key to her recovery.
