Inspired by “The Golden Room” by Joe Satriani
I know not what plain she’s born
She sweeps across them all
Her dancing haunting hellish nights
So primordial, delights
Pervading purest dawn
Her body bronze and draped in silk
Matched by an amber gaze
Her fragrant locks do dance in time
With songs surreal an so sublime
A bouncing ebony haze
In swelling beats she kicks her feet
And copper dust ignites
She smiles beneath her blurring veil
And forms a watercolour trail
That spirals the night
The horns and pipes cut through the air
Strings ensued their wide expanse
The music washed my senses numb
Her dance so made my heart succumb
Left in euphoric trance
This creature, fair, spoke not in words
But in passion of angelic motion
With devil’s intent, she drew me closer
All my strength could not morose her
Currents in my ocean
Of thought, the waltzing constellations
Reflected her in diamond white
Entrapping me in ecstasy
Her mind and heart a mystery
To me this fleeting night
