The Sister Poem to Free Love
You, who brings me comfort
When my mind becomes a violent hurricane
And daily dramas burn my brain
Like acid staining summer rain
You, who brings me confidence,
When life’s reduced to tiresome movie scenes
And all my exhales turn to screams
Shattering my diamond dreams
You, who acts as Sun and Moon,
When precious Venus starts to run and hide
From Jupiter as he collides
With Mars and I’m pulled for the ride
You who acts consistently
When caravans of candied flowers fly
In watercolour autumn skies
Where nature fools my eager eyes
You who isolates my fears
When doors are scratching, roofs are tapping
Songs as all the walls just ramble on
From buzzing dusk to flaming dawn
You, whom I love and adore,
When closest friends all turn away in fear
And all these voices so unclear
Just tidal rushes in my ear
You whom they say do betray
Though they don’t keep me warm in freezing cold
But skin almost blistered, cracked and old
Like parchment, the truth starts to unfold
You whom cost me everything
Good fortune in the dust without a trace
Unrecognisable, my face
To even me, just grim disgrace
You whom had consume my soul
One ray of light returns to heart and mind
As Spring rejuvenates inside
But your scars cannot be left behind
