Composed in four parts
I
Beneath the peach tree
The sparkling petals falling
Like comets aflame
Each signifying an ill
Turned faint, dimming, calm, then still
II
The breeze sings softly
A gentle flute on the skin
The wind circulates
Enveloping my body
Whispering content to me
III
The pond turns itself
Making patterns undefined,
Strange and unsettled
But, in time, clears into glass
For my face to pass
IV
I sit contently
Immersed in the elements
Heart and mind settled
Held together by time, closed
From all laments I’m imposed
