The next day begins similarly to the previous day. I wake up early, have my hourly lessons with Talia - the Queen's Guardian - and Yousef before Sunny joins me for breakfast with the rest of her family. Sunny's slightly more outspoken now when her sister asks her questions regarding her life on Earth. I secretly smile at Sunny's passion for technology as she describes smartphones in detail.

By noon, the royal family separates to do their respective duties. The King, Queen and their Guardians left the palace for the Oppenheim League headquarters immediately after breakfast. Luna mumbles something about meeting a few Royal Guards before disappearing off. Sunny, on the other hand, decides to make her way to the King's office where she officially starts on her queenly duties.

"My father taught me the basics years ago," she tells me as she takes in the view in front of her. A majestic clean desk with family photos displayed. The map of Oppenheim on the walls behind Sunny whereas the map of the Earth Kingdom in front of her. On the left of the King's desk is a 3D model of the Earth Kingdom with miniature flags and soldiers.

Still as a cat, I jump on the King's desk and watch Sunny as she stares at the yellow box in front of her. With a small sigh, she opens the box and takes out the paperwork she has to read and probably authorize. I doze off as Sunny works through the pile of papers. It's really not my fault that cat naps are a powerful force. I tend to nap a lot in this form.

The rest of the day pass as Sunny attends her lessons and training. She once again spar with her sister. This round she improve slightly compared to yesterday if they're both allowed to use their magic, yet her sister still wins the duel.

Unlike yesterday where Sunny would have had free time, Sunny has more work to do after she takes a shower. This time, she receives letters from mayors all over the country for updates and respond each letter personally. There are times where Sunny is visibly feeling pressured when she takes a short break to pat me and talk about some of the letters she received. Most express their concern for her safety and their relief for coming back to the Kingdom safely. Others are regarding the minor economic, social or even political issue that they are facing. She set aside the letters that are concerning so she would meet with her advisors tomorrow on her responses.

Seeing Sunny being so down-to-earth and responsible makes me proud that she's satisfied with the duty she was groomed to carry out. I can tell that Sunny cares for her nation a lot and her stay on Earth had obviously made her more open-minded. It is also not surprising to lives up to the nickname the people adopted for her - the Versatile Princess.

Sunny gets along well with most leaders in the nation and communicates well at social events since she was young. Although she's not as good as her sister, she's still decent at combat. She has experience from a whole different world and meets with regular people to chat once in a while. It's no wonder the people love her.

Yet, she's still a target.

The horrors Sunny face is hidden behind her actions. Around her family, she is the perfect daughter and princess. She still treats me as if I'm human although she's touchier because of our new Guardian-Handler bond. I can tell there are some things that Sunny is hiding from everyone.

Sunny never talked about our close encounter with death except about her guilt of making me her Guardian and what happens after I lost consciousness. She never talked about her kidnapping experience. She didn't talk about what she witnessed for 15 days, which left her more determined to ignore the whole danger situation. Her sister and her uncle personally asked me to take care of her, to be there for her. They care for her despite not knowing what truly happened to Sunny when she was ten.

A part of me want to demand Sunny for her side of the story once I gain the ability to communicate with her. The major part of me told me that it's best to leave it alone until I feel like she's truly comfortable around me. There must be a reason why she's keeping this a secret for almost eight years now. She gets along well with everyone, but she never open her heart to anyone. Even I can see that she's keeping some distance from her own sister. I just hope that she's not living in a false sense of hope that everything will go away.

I meow loudly when I'm hungry, grabbing Sunny's attention. She looks up and curses at how late it is.

The next few days fly past uneventfully. Within the time period, I involuntarily transform into a hummingbird.

Sunny digs herself deeper into the pile of work in the King's office until Luna decides to disrupt the regular routine. I am perched on the 3D model when Luna knocks on the door and enter upon Sunny's approval.

"Let's go out," Luna offers, already dressed in a dress. Even with such feminine clothes, I spot the riding boots she wear often and a sword by her hips. "I'm so sick of being in the palace for four days!"

It's so strange to see the Warrior Princess wear a dress since she always wear something with pants. I suppose that her lady-in-waiting had been bugging her to do so since it's an unspoken princess rule.

"Out where?" Sunny asks as she places a royal seal on the envelope that she just did.

"I don't know... just explore the city, eat savory food... We can show Jordan around! I'm pretty sure she's sick of this place as much as I am," Luna suggests, noticing me.

I perk in interest, which made Sunny agree to her sister's request. Within half an hour, the Versatile Princess and the Warrior Princess left the palace, greeted by the nice people of City of Arbor. More Royal Guards than usual trail the royal sisters, keeping an eye on their surroundings.

The sisters converse about their childhood and Sunny makes it a point to bring up as many embarassing stories as she can remember about me when we were younger. Luna laughs until she cry at my not-my-finest moments while I glare at both of them from Sunny's shoulder.

Over the course of a few days, Sunny seems to open up a little to her little sister and Luna seems to act more like a younger sibling than when she first arrived. It is clear that they both care for each other and don't let the crown get in between them. It's a good thing too since the old TV shows I've watched that's related to royalty always had some sort of family feud in it.

As they continue to embarrass me, the sisters spend the rest of the day interacting with common folks and reminiscing their childhood until they have to face reality once more.
