"Krise, I want to go shopping. Come with me." Kaira shook Krise awake at 8.30am. On a Saturday. "Kaira, you know I hate shopping, so leave me alone!" Krise grumbled "Uh uh uh!" Kaira shook her head, and pulled Krise off the bed before she could yell "Hey!" in protest. Kaira tugged at Krise's curls and handed her a pair of jeans, and a tiny pink shirt. Krise groaned in digust."No way." She announced, handing Kaira back the clothing, and pushing her, and her protests out of her room. Locking the door shut, Krise curled up on her bed again. "What is wrong with you? Shopping is fun!" She could still hear Kaira complaining. " Quit complaining. I'm not going. " Krise mumbled stubbornly. Her routine for Saturdays was sleep till noon, have breakfast in bed, play with her dogs, read a book (not vampire novels),eat lunch, go out to play, eat dinner, play computer games, sleep. And shopping is not included. What's more, who knew what sort of prank Kaira would play. No, no. Krise yawned. She had read till 3am at night, and her eyes were literally drooping. Shutting her eyes, Krise yawned again, and snuggled her cheek against her pillow, falling into dreamland again. "Wake up." Krise thought she heard a voice call her. "What?" She mumbled. She looked around. She was surrounded by white and fluffy clouds, and soft blue sky. But no one was there. Suddenly she started falling. Krise screamed.
"Don't be afraid, child." She heard the voice say. Then the weirdest thing happened. Krise stopped falling. " Wake up and find your sister. You have a task ahead of you. " The voice called distantly. Everything disappeared. Krise's eyelids fluttered open and she felt surprisingly light. What was that all about ? She checked the time. 8.45am. " Kaira! Are you still there?" Krise called. "Yeah?" Came Kaira's surprised reply. "I'm coming." Krise said, sliding of her bed and changed into a loose sky-blue t-shirt with dark pink stripes, and white shorts, before running down the stairs in record time. Gasping for air, Krise gave Kaira a nod. Visibly taken aback, Kaira asked, "Why the sudden change of mind?" "Oh, just wanted to stretch my legs." Krise rolled her eyes. Kaira smirked in return. "Follow me." Kaira led Krise confidently, if not proudly, to Alison's. "You're going to meet my friends. Trust me, they're pretty cool." Kaira whispered. Krise arched her eyebrows unbelievably. Kaira huffed silently about pure ignorance and rolled her eyes. "Chairise! Harmonice! Gemma! Meet my sister, her name i-""Kristena!" The three girls squealed excitedly. Krise cleared her throat. "You can call me Krise." She said decisively. Kaira shot her a dirty look, but Krise merely brushed her off without another look. "Okay, Kaira, would you like to go shopping now?" A short and stout girl wearing high heels dragged Kaira off, the other two followed like blind chicks. Krise gave a puff of annoyance. Her first shopping trip- and probably her last- with her sister, and this was it? "Oh well, just gonna walk around, nothing more." She muttered to herself, casually strollin' around the shoppibg complex. She passed a bookstore on the way, and decided to stay there till her snobbish sister and her sissy friends came for her. Krise stared at the number of books that greeted her, smiling subconsciously. "Hmm, should I have romance, or science fiction?" She thought aloud, drawing a few curious glances of nearby readers. Not like I care. Krise rolled her eyes. She'd learnt to draw attention to herself, especially since the days that came after the fight with Kaira. Wistfully, she chose a mysterious but beautiful looking book. It was a paperback. Gold and emerald in colour, with curly script. Krise held it in her hands, smiling. "The bridesmaid's secret. Cool!" Krise murmured.
