As I pulled into the asylum, the appearance of it flustered me for a second. It was incredibly dull, and depressing. It was a tall, 5 story building with grey outer walls and security cameras on every corner. Bars covered every single small window. It looked more like a jail than a mental asylum. I gulped, before pulling into the nearest space to the entrance in the car park. There was only one other visitor by the looks of it, with only one car in the visitor car park. A knot in my stomach, I stepped out of the car, slamming the door. Once more, I glanced up at the asylum. I felt sick. Was Yuri seriously living in this hell hole? I felt my chest tighten with each step I took towards the front entrance. The entrance was huge glass double doors, with 4 scanners on either side. I scanned the visitor keycard that I'd been sent in the mail. I jumped slightly, as the door made a loud beep noise to signify I could walk through. Hesitantly, I took a few steps inside. There was a reception desk, behind bars and windows, as if the receptionist would be stuck inside. There were numerous signs by a huge steal vault, assuming that was the entrance to the wards. My heart thumped in my chest, fast and hard. "H-hello?" I yelped, trying to make myself known despite the intense anxiety I felt. "Oh, sorry. Excuse my absence." A lady with black hair in a tight ponytail and a velcro vest popped up from behind the reception desk, spooking me ever so slightly. "O-oh! No...it's alright." I felt comforted by her presence, taking a few steps forward to talk into the reception mic. "So! Your visiting? Are you umm let me see..." The lady grabbed a huge black binder and began flipping through it frantically. I stood patiently, swallowing my anxiety. "...ah, yes. Yuri Sakowai's visitor?" The lady spoke calmly, her tone changing. "Yes. That's right." I responded, shakily. "So, you must be Ms Yukota?" The lady asked, looking up from the binder, smiling warmly. "Yes, that's me." I responded quickly. "Alright, lets get you through to the 4th ward, I'll be right back, just grabbing a guide." The lady smiled before scrambling out of the reception door and into another bolted room. I stood waiting, silently. I began to feel the nerves coming back again. I couldn't believe I was actually doing this.
