It was maybe around 2:30 in the morning when I suddenly woke up feeling a presence near me. I sat up while rubbing my eyes when
"Ahhhhh" i screamed seeing someone on the edge of my bed.
"Who.. what.. get off my bed before I call the guards and they throw you in the dungeon" I growled to the unknown person sitting near me.
"Hey hey hey. Your gonna get me killed dude" the guy said scooting closer to me to put their hand over my mouth.
"Get your hand off... wait your the wolf I met in the woods today. I'm so sorry" I said standing up.
"But I'm so happy that your awake. What was wrong. How can I help. I'm so sorry it.." I was saying to him while he shushed me and said to sit down and shut up.
"Look I know I scared you and I know your friends don't particularly like me bc I'm not one of y'all but please help me. I have been out in the wilderness for a short while bc I decided to leave home bc my family was wanting us to move again and I don't want to move. I wanted to stay here and..." he kept on rambling trying to explain his story.
"Hey it's ok. You can stay here" I told him trying to make him feel better and happy bc what he was saying did not seem like he was a happy camper right now.
"What? Really? Thank you so much" he said with a huge smile and then he ran to me and gave me a big hug almost knocking me over.
"Ok. But first I need to know your name" i said chuckling detaching his small figure from me so I can see his face.
"Oh uhm yeah I guess that's a good idea. My names Andrew but please call me Andy"
"Andy huh. So is it just Andy. Or does Andy have a last name?"
"It's Fowler"
"Andrew Fowler"
"Its Andy. Not Andrew"
"Huh?"
"You said Andrew. It's not Andrew. It's Andy"
"Oh ok. Well Andy. The names Ryan but you can call me rye"
"Well now we know each other's names. Can I know where I can sleep please?"
"Yeah you can sleep in my bed and I'll sleep on the couch" I said pointing to the edge of my bed where the couch was sat.
"But I don't want to take your bed away from you. It's ok. I'll sleep on the couch" he said walking towards the couch.
"Andy it's fine. Your not taking it away from me. I want you to sleep there"
"Ok. But only because you want me to" he said climbing into my bed and snuggling with the blankets automatically. And with that I walked over to the couch and laid down to sleep.
"Rye?"
"Yeah Andy"
"Can you lay up here with me. I usually sleep with my friend before I left home but he's not here to keep me company and I'm scared and.."
"Yes" I said while getting up and walking to the bed and crawling in the bed next to him.
"Better?" I asked looking at him.
"Much better" he said smiling at me. With me knowing he was ok I closed my eyes to go to sleep. When I was close to falling asleep I felt a small figure snuggling up against me and it made me smile. Finally happy I went to sleep with someone I didn't know but already loved laying beside me.
