~Chapter 3~

Hey, so chapter 3 lets go. Sorry for slow updates, I've got school and a lot of revision to do so its a bit tricky keeping up with social media and this book but dont worry, ill try my best to get out a chapter at least once a week.
Anyway...

Normal P.O.V~

The blonde maiden lay fast asleep on the couch, cuddling a pillow close to her chest. Through a crack in the curtains that overlap the windows a slither of light creeps up onto her face. The suttle, yet bright beam slowly causes her eyes to open, forcing her awake. "Mm.." She groans, before sitting up and stretching her arms out in front of her. "what time is it.." Lucy mumbles to no one in particular- glancing at the clock mounted ontop of the mantle. 9:12. She thought. Jesus, I've slept in more than usual. The Mage gets up and places the Cushion neatly back onto the couch, folding up the blanket she used and placing that onto the coffee table across from her as well. She yawns slightly and walks into her bedroom, stripping off and changing her clothes. Wait a minute...why was i sleeping on the couch?.. Lucy turns around and looks at her empty bed. The sheets are a little ruffled but otherwise its untouched. The window, which was slightly ajar, let in a small draft. Somethings missing..She contemplated. A few seconds of silence passed before her eyes widen with horror. "COBRA?!?!" She exclaimed, loud enough for the whole neighborhood to hear.
All of a sudden the Blonde jumps into motion. Searching her small apartment from head to toe..top to bottom...Nothing.
Her body falls down onto the floor, her knees supporting her as she cries into her hands. No, no no..this cant be happening..what will the guild think..Erza And Natsu were right..i cant do this.. She thinks to her self. The key ring hung on her belt starts to glow gently and a small snow man plops himself in front of her. Lucy looks up, her eyes a little red and puffy "Plue?" She questions, as the small spirit runs lovingly into her arms, almost instantly cheering her up. "You're right Plue..it'll be ok..ill..just..not tell anyone and find him later..He has to come back right?" She looks down to her spirit, it lets out a small 'Pun' sound in response. "We should get to the guild.." She states, getting up.

After several minutes of walking Lucy and her small spirit arrive at the guild doors, greeted by a table flying over their heads. She bends down and picks up Plue, avoiding the brawl that has already broken out and sitting down at a table off to the corner.
Natsus nose twitches and he sniffs the air deeply. "Luce!!?" He yells, running over to her table only to be followed by Erza, grey and happy. "How are you!? Are you hurt!?" He exclaims, worry laced throughout his voice as he picks her up. Scanning her whole body for any marks and or damage. "Natsu.." She states, as she's snatched from his hands by Erza.
"Lucy," she starts, "how are you? Did the snake cause you any trouble?"
"No non at all actually" The blonde replies, only for the whole guild to look at her in disbelief.
Grey breaks the silence. "None!? Like at all?? I would of thought...nevermind.."
"You thought what Grey?" She looks at him, feeling hurt by his comment. Grey looks at her and starts to panic. "No! I um! No i didn't mean anything by it! Forget i said anything.."
The young mage takes a look around the guild, not a single member can even bring themselves to look at her in the eyes. "Is...is it because im weak?" She asks, her voice quiet and timid. "Is it?" She repeats again. Feeling tears prick the corners of her eyes. Erza again chimes in, "No! Nothing like that!"
"Then what is it then?.." Lucy replies, Only to receive a moment of silence. Natsu of course speaks up loudly and confidently. "Lucy! You're an amazing part of our team! You dont need to be strong, smart, or anything else like that. Because we all value you as a friend!"
He's just avoiding the question..She thought. Closing Plue's gate and running out of the guild. "Luce wait!!" Natsu jumps up to chase her only to be stopped by master makarovs hand. "Let her be Natsu..let her be.."

The blonde runs, not knowing the location. Her head held down as tears pour down her soft cheeks. How could he say that..Natsu..You can be such an idiot..he could of worded it differently..he could of told me that im not weak.."I-i just...expected more.." she says, falling down onto her knees, her tears slowly coming to a stop. "I was just over reacting.." she says again. Taking a minute to wipe her eyes and observe her surroundings. A few feet away from her knees laid a large, crystal clear lake. Around her, stood trees and petite white flowers about the size of her palms, that started to climb up the side of the surrounding trees..roses..She thought, smiling slightly as the beautiful sight. It almost looked like something out of a fantasy novel. She moved closer to the water and stared at her reflection. "Come on Lucy..what were you thinking...you're not weak!" She smiles brightly to her self, she takes another look at the water and he expression drops again "but im not as strong as the others in the guild.." She sighs to herself and lies down, the pale flowers frame her face as the sun gently caresses aspects of her body.

"Do you want to be?"

A Husky voice asks from behind her. She jumps up in shock "Ah!! Who was that! Come out!" Her eyes widen immensely as a familiar Spikey haired criminal walks out from behind a large tree. "Do you want to be?" He asks again. "Cobra!!! Dont scare me like that!..and yes...i do ok..but i cant seem to get there no matter how hard i try.." Lucy says, sitting back down amongst the flowers. "Ha!" The man chuckles "you haven't trained with me yet Blondie!"
"And what makes you think i trust you?" She asks. Only for him to reply,
"Because, ive seen that look in your eyes in my own..You feel helpless, weak, and you're sick of it. You want to prove yourself to Flame brain and those other fairy clowns am i right?"
"Yeah..i do..but how do i do it?"
"Training. Lots of training...and seen as though im stuck with you who better to teach ya than me!" The snake says, giving off a cocky arrogant smile.
"Hm...well..i suppose its a good idea" Lucy smiles back, "but non of that evil stuff ok?"
"You have yourself a deal Blondie!"
"Stop calling me that!" She says angrily
"B-L-O-N-D-I-E" He replies, trying to deliberately test her patience.
Lucy sends a kick his way, it almost knocks him over but he, even after hearing her thoughts, allows her to do it. "Your kicks very powerful, could do with some work though" He grabs her by the ankle and flips her over, She grabs him and pulls him down to the floor. After a few moments of light wrestling Cobra has her pinned down on the grass, a single flower has gotten tangled into his hair. The Female mage looks at it and starts to laugh, he looks at her in confusion and she takes the flower out from his 'mane'. He looks at her. "Really? How is that funny"
"I dont know!" She exclaims "b-but somethings tickling me too!!" His eyes trail down to her stomach, something wiggles under her shirt. "Hm?" He hums, lifting it up slightly. A small black scaled snake is coiled up on her belly. "H-hey!!!" Lucy exclaimes, her face as red as Erzas hair. What does he think he's doing!! I should punch the bastard!!
The dragon slayer laughs and picks up the snake in his palm, letting it slither onto the grass. It quickly dashes away. "Sorry Goldie locks" he says, Getting up. "Now, what do you say? You up for a training mission?"
The blonde looks up at him (still on the ground) in surprise, then nods in determination. Grabbing his hand and pulling her self up.

A new chapter...im sure this will be strange..
She thought to herself, looking deeply into his eyes.

Likewise Fairy..
He replies to her thoughts with his own, staring back at her curiously.
