~Chapter 5~

Heyyy! So I felt kinda confident and I decided to change the cover picture for this. Thoughts?
I know i've probably mentioned this a million times by now but i apologise for slow updates. I have a lot to do atm so i'm really sorry! I hope you enjoy this instalment though! sorry its short!

Normal P.O.V~

"Take a seat" Master Makarov instructs with a gentle voice, gesturing to two cushioned seats facing the desk in which he is stood on. A stack of paper work stuck neatly in a pile in the corner with a paper weight resting on top. More than likely reparations from "Team Natsu's" last adventure; she thought, smiling to herself out of embarrassment. Respectfully Lucy and Cobra sit down. "Now," he begins, "I understand that you two are currently sharing a living space?"
"Well yes?" Lucy replies, "is this to discuss the new house Lahar mentioned?" The master nods in approval as the two discuss income and household matters. Cobra however turns his gaze outside, quietly watching a branch on a tree as it gently shakes in the wind, zoning out from the conversation.

After a brief talk, Lucy outstretches her hand to receive a flyer detailing their new living area. The pictures showing very similar appearances to her already existing apartment just bigger and with extra rooms. "Oh wow! It looks amazing!!" She squeals in approval, snapping cobra from his thoughts as he glances over her shoulder at the house. "Tch..I guess.." he mumbles, sounding oddly tired.
"How much and where??" She asks
"Fully paid for by the council" Master Makarov smiles, "and its seated on the edge of magnolia forest, quite close to the guild actually"
"Its perfect!" Lucy announces, "I'll try to get moved in right away!"

The Master maintains his beaming grin, before his face forms a look of seriousness. "Now, I understand that this situation isn't fair on the both of you. And i hope you're getting along fine.." Cobra points his gaze towards him. "However..as you know..you have quite the reputation in this guild, and not for good reason. Because of this we have to take a high level of caution, so if i see one foot out of line-!"
Cobra cuts him off. "You'll kill me. I get it.." He rolls his eye and looks away.
"You'll have to excuse him Master" Lucy smiles "Hes not the talkative type but I assure you, nothing will go wrong. You assigned me to this task remember?"
The old man sighs and nods, passing her a warm smile "of course, and you are more than capable to do so. I'm just worrying, its just what grand parents do!" He laughs and she laughs with him. "I do apologise for keeping you for so long children, you're both free to leave!" Lucy smiles and gets up, bowing before she leaves. Cobra stands, looking down at master Makarov to receive a harsh protective glare before following after her.

They walk down the stairs together, heading back down to the main part of the guild, as hey approach the feeling of un-easiness from before returns but quickly leaves. Lucy looks towards Cobra and smiles gently. "umm..how about we take a job? theres plenty to chose from?". Cobra looks at her for a minute and pauses. "Hmm..I wouldn't mind. It gives us a chance to do some training like we mentioned i guess.." He looks past her towards the job board. Her smile beams even more, "You're right!!" The blonde exclaims. "of course I am, now go find us a job" He replies, sitting back down at the bar and finishing his drink. Lucy skips over to the board, standing next to nab and the two chat happily about the jobs on display. "You two seem to be getting along fine!" Mira chirps to Cobra, her voice as cheerful as ever. "she's alright.." The spiky dragon slayer replies, finishing his drink. "I think the Master made a good choice pairing you and Lucy together" She states, using a rag to dry off a glass. "oh yeah? whys that?" He answers curiously. "No reason, I just believe Lucy will be a good influence on you. She's smart, powerful, friendly and kind. She's the light of the guild essentially" Mira chimes contentedly. "More like the light of my life!!" Loke joins in. Talking loud enough for Lucy to hear after having magically appeared a few seats down from Cobras, raising his glass up to her. "LOKE!!!" The young mage shouts at him, pulling out his key and closing his celestial gate shut. Mirajane laughs at the scene and puts the glass she was cleaning away. "You found a job yet Blondie??" Cobra asks, as Lucy gladly holds up her selected job. He takes the paper and reads:

Kuro Murk is the leader of a series of bandits attacking our town of Rosa Cardinale.

They have been spotted robbing banks, jewellery outlets and have been involved in the collapse of several buildings and muggings. For more information please contact the town Mayor.

He finishes reading, "Seems easy enough?..Sure" Lucy looks at him cheerfully and passes the job over to Mira to stamp it. "ready to go?" she asks him. 

"don't you need to pack?" he asks back. "no need!" she states with pleasure as Virgo appears with Lucy's suitcase by her side in a flash of light. "I always have my bag packed in advance" She smiles, "thank you Virgo". The maid spirit bows and exits in another bright flash of golden light. 

Cobra and Lucy leave the guild together. The blonde walking slightly ahead of him, as they head to the Magnolia train station together...
