First day issues

Grams and I got to the school about 15 minutes before classes start so I could get my schedule and get all settled in. As I was about to get out of the car Grams grabbed my arm and said

"Keep your head up kiddo and today will be a great day" I smiled

"Thanks Grams" I kissed her goodbye then walked to the entrance, Im kinda glad I came early because there weren't that many people outside to give me the "Who's the new girl?" look. When I walked into the office there were was a lady at the front desk singing along to music she had playing on a little stereo on the floor. She had red hair and a small frame, she was probably about my height if not shorter. After a few moments she looked up, saw me and smiled.

"Hi you must be the new girl Sydney Bossingers, correct?" Thats odd, how did she know that I wasnt just some other student coming in to ask a question or something? But nevertheless I smiled back and said

"Yeah thats me."

"Wonderful!" she said clapping her hands together. She reached for something in her draw then handed it to me,

"Okay honey so this is your scedule, we put your classes as close to eachother as we could seeing that this is a large school that you arent familiar with. So look it over and tell me if you think something shouldnt be there"

I looked down at my schedule

1) Trig

2) Chem

3) Drawing and Painting

4) Spanish 1

5) History

6) Lunch

7) English

8) Gym

9) Free

Yes! I had last period free meaning I can leave early!! OOH Yes I was definitely about to do a little happy dance but I stopped myself remembering the woman was in front of me.
Controlling my happiness I told the woman

"Yes this all seems correct, thank you so much" she smiled at me

"No problem honey I'm Linda don't hesitate to come to me if you need anything else okay?" she said kindly. I nodded my head and walked out of the office thanking her once more. Now I needed to find my Trig class... ughhh I mean the end of my classes are awesome but the morning classes suck. Reading the schedule again I accidently bumped into a girl.

"sorry" I muttered apoligetically looking up at her. She was pretty, with blonde hair and green eyes. She was about 5 foot 6 inches and wearing faded jeans with a pink sweater. She smiled at me

" It's fine, no worries. You must be the new girl right?" I nodded my head

"How does everyone know I'm the new girl?" I asked her, my curiosity getting the best of me.

"We don't really get new people here in Malbeck, in fact the last new student we got was over 4 years ago so your like freshmeat." She said laughing a little at her comparison, I smiled, she seemed nice enough maybe we could be friends.

"Im Veronica by the way and you are...?"

"Sydney"

"Well Sydney whats your schedule, hopefully we have some classes together" I handed her the paper and after a few moments she squealed.

"Perfect! We have Trig, Lunch and Gym together!"

"Cool" I said trying to hide my excitement of possibly making a friend. As we walked to trig she was pointing out who was who in this school and man this girl can talk a mile a minute! I learned that most of the kids you want to stay away from were the ones who always wore green. She told me green was there black and that by wearing green they are being themselves without being stereotypical. Yeah I'm not really sure what that means either but they were the kids who apparently were always doing weird rituals and things around the school so it was better to stay away from that. I also learned that the biggest snob in this school was surprise surprise the head cheerleader Terrianne. But even though shes supposedly the biggest bitch shes also Veronicas best friend...
