Meeting the Family

Tylers POV

"I, Alpha Thomas, call this meeting to an end, good job today boys I think we may have found ourselves a probable solution." my fathers voice boomed as he turned towards me.

"But you Tyler, you stay I must have a word with you" We waited until all the other men left the room then my father began his rant

"Son what happened to 'the only girl I will bring home is my mate' or 'the only person I will be intimate with is my mate' huh? Just a couple of weeks ago you were saying that and now you have some random human in my house!" he shouted, his eyes staring at me expectantly.

"Father all of those statements are true bec-"

"How could they be?" my father asked cutting me off.

"She is my mate" I said looking him square in the eyes. His anger soon faded into happiness.

"Oh my boy! Congratulations!" He said as he pulled me into a hug. My father always wanted my first of everything to be with my mate because his wasn't, and because of that it took my mother a long time to accept him. So ever since I was young it was as if my father bred me to be the best mate there could be, but when I turned 15 or so I gave my first couple of kisses to some girl named Natasha. This made my father so mad that he grounded me for 6 freakin months, and after that I never really had any contact with a girl because I realized my father was right. I have a soul mate out there and if my everything is with her then that makes it 100x better. I mean sure I have girls throwing themselves at me left and right, everyone wants the priveledge to say 'I'm with the Alpha's son' or 'I did the deed with Tyler... the soon to be Alpha'. Though it took me a while to realize it, my father was right, all these girls wanted all along was a title. A title that gave them power.

I nodded my head

"Thanks Dad"

"Does she know about us yet?" he asked his tone slowly becoming more serious.

"No not yet, I just met her yesterday and since she's human you can't really jump into things" I said as images of Sydney flooded through my head. Oh how I craved her touch, I needed it even though I had it just a short while ago.

"Good good" he said shaking his head

"When do you suppose you'll tell her?" he asked as he began to pace.

I shrugged my shoulders
"In a couple of weeks I guess" To be honest I hadn't really thought about how I would tell her, I mean I thought about gaining her trust enough to tell her, but never really how I would show her so she doesn't think I'm crazy, but at the same time doesn't pass out."

"Okay thats enough time I suppose, I will ask your mother to start preparing" he said as if he was deep in thought.

"Preparing... preparing for what?"

"Why the ceremony of the Alpha and his Luna" he said nonchalantly, almost as if it meant nothing.

"Dad" I said walking closer to him

"Your going to step down from your Alpha duties?"

"Of course son, you are 18 years old, thats how old I was when I took over. And you have found your mate." He said almost as if I was stupid for asking him that. Me? He wants me to become Alpha in a few weeks? I mean I knew I would be Alpha one day but I never expected it to come so soon, what if Sydney doesn't want me. I thought to myself causing my wolf to growl

'She will want us' he said so sure of himself.

"Well son, lets go downstairs and meet my soon to be daughter in law." he said as he led the way to the living room where my mate and my mother sat, looking through photo books of me as a child. A smile was plastered on my mates face as she flipped through the pages

"You know, when Tyler was 7" my mother said turning to Sydney

"He ran around the house in only underwear for about 2 weeks" she said laughing "And the best part was that the underwear had corndogs all over them so he ran around the house screaming 'I'm the weiner man!!' When she said this my mate burst out into a fit of giggles.

'He did not" she said as she calmed down her laughter.

"He did" my mom said laughing once more.

"Hey now" I said walking over to Sydney and kissing her forehead. Causing her to blush and hide her sexy little face from my mothers.

"Don't go telling Sydney lies mom" I said smirking.

"Oh honey, I haven't spoken a single lie all night" My mother said with a smirk now on her face

"And I really wasn't lying when I told her about your wetting the bed phase" She said as her and my mate both erupted in laughter. Frowning I leaned in closer to her ear and said

"Don't believe these lies" Which caused the both of us to laugh.

"So Sydney dear, would you like to stay for dinner?" my mother asked. I guessed she figured out that Sydney was my mate or maybe my dad told her through the pack link because she never invites people she barely knows to stay for dinner.

Sydney shook her head

"I wish I could but I really should get back to Grams, I'm sorry"

"No no honey I understand what about this weeked, does Saturday sound alright to you?" My mother asked.

Sydney nodded,

"Saturday would be great"

Once she said her goodbye's, I drove Sydney to her Grams house but when we got there she didn't get out of the car.

"Tyler?" Sydney asked in a low voice.

"Yes" I said my voice coming out huskier than I meant it to.
"Am I really the first girl you've ever brought home" she said now facing me.
Did she like that I haven't been with anyone else? Did he hate that I had no experience? I gulped,
"Yes, it's tr" but before I could finish my sentence she placed her lips on mine. Her hands pulling on my hair as I tried to pull her closer to me but the damn central console was in the way. She pulled back and giggled as I groaned, frustrated with the damned car.
"ill see you tomorrow" she said as she opened the passenger door.
"Wait Sydney" I said causing her to turn and look at me once more.
"I had a lot of fun tonight." I said nervously.
"I did too" she said lowly, causing me to grin. I waited until she was inside the house and gave her a wave before I left, and for the rest of the night, all I could think about was my mate.\

Sydneys POV

This whole week has gone by in a blur, and today is finally Friday! The first football game of the year, and my first official/unoffical date with Tyler!....
