Sean was an ordinary 23-year-old looking for a job. He'd been trying to find one fir ages and ages and finally settled to working at W.H.Smiths.
He loved it there, and had already become one of the Boss's favourite workers within the month. The Boss had to go to a meeting one day and had to leave work early.
"Could you lock up the store at 7 o'clock Sean because I've got to go to a meeting now. I'm trusting you to remember!" The Boss told Sean. Sean agreed, saying that he would.
It was 6:30 now and Sean started escorting out customers. This was done by 6:40. Sean allowed all the rest of the workers to leave early and said that he'd clean up any mess before he locked up the store. He wanted to please his Boss and show him that he was responsible. When the workers left, Sean tidied up. He went to go lock up the Boss's room and went down the different aisles in order to get out the building. Suddenly, something caught his eye. There was a book on the floor. I probably forgot to pick this up..Hang on. 'The Clown's Worst Nightmare'? I've never seen this book before. Ah well. He went to pick it up and put it back on the shelf and carried on walking. He saw the same book on the floor in front of him again a few metres forward. Now this really freaked him out. Still, he picked it up and put it back and continued walking. For the third time, he saw it again. He bent down to pick it up, clearly confused, when another thing caught his eye. Footprints. He followed them with his eyes..leading up to a clown with a balloon in his hand and the same book in the other. He had a malicious grin on his face and walked toward Sean chuckling. He hit Sean on the side of the head and knocked him out. He continued to batter Sean until slowly, Sean died.
The next day, the Boss walked in angry at Sean for not locking up the store. He walked in and on the floor, there was a book. The Clown's Worst Nightmare.
