My 4-year-old son was watching T.V and it was past his bedtime. I told him off, but only lightly and told him to go to bed. He asked me to read him his favourite bedtime story: Where the Wild Thing Are. I said no as his story time was gone. He cried and begged me to read him a story so I reluctantly agreed and carried him to bed. I told him to lie down while I got the book from the shelf opposite his bed. I heard I squeak behind me and I whipped around to see what it was. Nothing was wrong with him so I turned back around to start looking for the book.
Eventually I found the book so I read it to him. He seemed happy enough when I finished so I got up to leave the room.
"Wait, Daddy! Check for monsters under my bed!" he said
So I did just to please him. An exact replica of my son was under the bed and trembling.
"Daddy, there's someone on my bed."
