I woke up bright and early at 5:00 this morning as planned to brush my hair and teeth. Today, I was going to become a Karasuno manager.
I snuck past Tooru's room so I wouldn't wake him. Not that I would though. He's a pretty deep sleeper. I tied up my sneakers, strapped on my knee brace, grabbed my backpack, and went on my way.
When I made it to the school, I found Suga waiting for me, as planned. Beside him was a black-haired beauty. And by beauty, I mean gorgeous.
"Good morning, Haruka-san!" Suga smiled.
"Good morning, Suga-san!" I waved back.
"I'd like to introduce you to our current Karasuno manager," he gestured to the girl beside him. "Shimizu Kiyoko."
The girl nodded and gave a little bow, as I responded with the same. "Haruka-san here said she wanted to become a manager."
Shimizu nodded again, and motioned for me to follow her into the gym. She grabbed out a clipboard and asked me some questions, which I assume were to test what I know. I also told her all about how I came to Karasuno to get away from Tooru, and how I feel like I'd be able to help the team out during Aoba Johsai games.
Shimizu held out her hand, "Welcome to the Karasuno volleyball team." She smiled.
I shook her hand with a wide grin on my face, and immediately filled out the club form that she had brought. "I'll try to get you a jacket by later today, alright? I'm fairly certain that we had ordered a few extra."
"That would be great. Thank you so much, Shimizu-san. It means a lot. Really."
"Just call me Kiyoko from now on, okay?" My eyes lit up and I gave her one of my famous Oikawa-Bone-Crushing-Bear-Hugs™.
"I'll see you later today, okay?" She waved goodbye and headed off to her class.
"Thank you so so so so so much, Suga-san." I gave Suga a hug as well, but softer. "I can't wait to beat Tooru!"

After classes were over, I practically sprinted to the gym and slammed open the door. "Say hello to your new manager!"
Everyone turned to me, likely startled by my outburst, but seemed to be looking behind me.
A black-haired man, who I'm assuming was the advisor, was a bit out of breath, like he had also run here. "I managed to schedule a practice match with Aoba Johsai!"
He noticed me standing beside him, wide-eyed. "Ah, I'm sorry, did I interrupt something?"
"No, no, not at all. I'm Oikawa Haruka, by the way. I'm the new manger alongside Kiyoko!" I shook the small man's hand.
"I'm Takeda Ittetsu, the club advisor. It's a pleasure to meet you. Wait, did you say Oikawa?" He looked up at me.
"Yes, I did! I didn't think we'd be playing Tooru so soon! This is a real treat!" I bounced up and down on the back of my heels. "He's my brother."
"I've never heard of Oikawa having a sister though?" He tilted his head to the side.
"Oh, I was playing in America last year." I replied with a smile.
Takeda-sensei nodded, signaling he understood. "Anywho, the practice match will be at the end of the week, and we'll be heading over to their school."
"We better get practicing then, everyone." Said Daichi, and the other members nodded.
"And I better get writing some notes on playing against Aoba Johsai!" I rushed over to grab my clipboard.
"You already are creating plays?" Kiyoko asked, peeking at the badly handwritten notes.
"Ah, well, I've been playing with Tooru and Hajime for as long as I can remember. I practically know their play style like the back of my hand. I'm also very good at observing and analyzing things, so I could probably come up with counterattacks based on how the other team plays by at most, the second set." I explained to her and Takeda-sensei, who appeared to be listening as well.
"Well, I guess it's a good thing you came to us." She smiled.
"Well, I hope I'll be able to benefit the team!" I grinned back at her.

Staying up until 2 am to write notes the day of the match was a terrible idea, but in hindsight, maybe now we'll surprise Tooru.
I called everyone to be early today so I could run over things with them before classes, since our match was after school.
I ran as fast as physically possible (with my messed up knee,) to make it to the gym, because unfortunately, I was the one running late. Tooru was being a stupid idiot, and decided it was a good idea to use my spare binder, so I had to waste 20 damn minutes ripping all the papers out.
I was out of breath and on my knees, because I lived surprisingly far from the school. I mean, it's probably my fault for deciding it was a good idea to live with Tooru after I came back, but whatever.
"I- *huff* I HAVE THE- *huff* THE NOTES!" I shouted between pants.
Suga looked particularly worried for me. "You don't look so great."
"I stayed up until 2 am, and I had literally no time to fix myself up before leaving at 7:00 because stupid Tooru had my spare binder, so obviously I don't. I'm gonna fucking kill him when we get there." I made squeezing motions with my hands, and everyone looked just a little bit worried for my sanity. "Anyways, read these over please."
Daichi picked up the binder, and seemed shocked. "These are so detailed."
"Well, that's the first set of plays that shall be setting the standard of my work, so of course they'd be detailed." I smirked, a conceited look on my face.
"Is the narcissistic attitude hereditary?" Suga asked with a grim expression.
"What?! I'm not a narcissist! That's Tooru's thing!"
Everyone started at me, trying to look like they were agreeing, but failing. I pouted and brushed past everyone into the gym doors, as I pulled out the whiteboard and explained the counterattacks for Tooru's and Haji's moves, or how to predict what he was going to to do next.

The bus stopped just outside the gates to Aoba Johsai, and tension seemed to rise inside of me.
'What if they're mad at me for not coming to Aoba Johsai? What if Tooru tells me I have to quit being their manager? What if none of the team members want to be my friend anymore because I went to Karasuno?'
I took a deep breath, and was the third person off the bus, after Takeda-sensei and Kiyoko. I harshly slapped my cheeks, suprising the boys who were unloading off the bus.
"It's just a practice match. This won't decrease your effectiveness because it doesn't count for anything. The only thing at stake is your pride, and who gives a shit about that? Not me." I mumbled to myself.
I looked at the boys in front of me with a big smile on my face. "Alright, let's go kick some Seijoh ass!"
﹏﹏✿﹏﹏
Seijoh, Seijoh, who wants some Seijoh? Overall, not too proud of the pacing, but I'd rather not bunch up a ton of chapters together and then have one chapter with only 1000 words or something.
Love, Cookie xoxo
