A/N: This is a girlxgirl story - really hope you like it! Super short, but I think it's cute.

I stood on top of a huge stand inside of turn 4 with my heart in my throat as the field wrecked right in front of me. I knew it was coming, it was Talladega! But still, I had hoped that with the start of the race, nothing would happen until the very end, if anything.
But no, there in front of me was my favorite driver, Hailie Deegan, climbing out of her wrecked car as it smoked and caught on fire.
The whole reason why I came to this Xfinity race was to watch her win. She's been running so well over the last few months that I knew today was going to be her day, but now? Now she's in the back of the ambulance going to the medical center while my heart broke.
Today sucks.
I sat down on the edge of the stand, my feet dangling high above the ground not even paying attention to the race anymore. I was too upset and I didn't even care who was in the lead or who wrecked out after that. Why even be here still? Well, if it wasn't the fact that I was here with friends, I would have left a while ago.
"Is this seat taken?" I was so in my head that I didn't recognize the voice who spoke above the roar of the cars going by.
"Um, sure," I didn't bother looking, instead I pulled out my phone and began scrolling Twitter.
"Cute outfit, by the way." I looked down at my shoes, checkered Vans, short shorts and my Hailie Deegan t-shirt that I cropped and hung off the shoulders.
"Thanks." I really wasn't in the mood for small talk with some girl I didn't know.
"Hailie is pretty cool, have you've met her before?" I was about to tell this chick to fuck off when I finally looked at her and lost my breath.It... it was Hailie!
"Hi," she smiled brightly at me and then giggled as I continued to stare at her in shock.
"Hi," I said breathlessly and oh my god! "What are you doing here? You wrecked out?"
"It's Dega," she shrugged like it wasn't a big deal, "I was actually walking by on my way back to my campsite when I saw this cute girl and I had to stop and say hi." I looked over my shoulder trying to figure out who she was talking about when she knocked my shoulder with her. "You, silly! I saw you were wearing my shirt and I had to meet you. It's super adorable on you, just like you." I blushed, not believing that my favorite driver was sitting in front of me, telling me how adorable and cute I was.I couldn't believe it!
"I think you're mistaken here, you're the cute and adorable one." I bit my lip, not believing I was flirting back, but how could I know? Hailie was my favorite driver but I also had the biggest crush on her. How could I not? She was a hell of a fighter in a man's world and she outran them all. It was so attractive, just like her.
And I can't believe she's sitting next to me.
"Wanna get out of here?"
"Like you wouldn't believe." I followed Hailie down the stairs and she grabbed my hand, twirling me around so she stood face to face with me. I couldn't help but smile as she giggled, moving closer and closer until I felt her cool breath on my lips."I can't believe I'm standing here with you right now, this is a dream."
"Believe it." Hailie's eyes met mine and I couldn't help but fall a little bit in love with her when she smiled, wrapped her arm around my stomach as the other one went to the back of my neck.
"Hope this is okay?"
"More than," I grabbed her by the belt loops, crashing my lips to hers as her giggle got lost in her throat.I couldn't help but smile as she kissed me back, her sweet, tender lips molding against mine in complete softness.
"Thank you for being such a huge fan, so glad I saw you tonight."
"I'm so glad you said hi."
"And I'm so glad I can do this." Hailie kissed me again and gah! If watching her wreck out of the race meant I could spend the night kissing her, then it was totally worth it.
