Loki's POV

I look down to see Thistle leaning against me, asleep. It had been a long day for her. My face burned slightly at the contact, hoping Thor and the Avengers wouldn't notice. No one could know I had romantic feelings for the elf, let alone feelings.

I put my arm around her to make her feel more comfortable and moved her head so her horns didn't poke me. I shifted my attention to the movie and tried to ignore the beautiful, talented elf that had somehow become my friend. An hour later the movie ended, and Thistle was still sleeping. Steve turned on the lights and everyone noticed how we were cuddling. Natasha smirked and left the room. "Wow, Reindeer Games, I didn't know you liked people." Tony joked. I glared at him. He kept smirking and left the room with Steve and Bruce. Thor clapped me on the shoulder. "Goodnight brother. I assume you'll be escorting Lady Thistle to her bedchambers." Thor left the living room leaving Thistle and I alone together. There was a crash of thunder as it started pouring rain outside. Thistle twitched.

I gingerly lifted her off the couch and carried her bridal style to her room. Tourmaline was curled up on her desk next to a flower. My face burned slightly as I realized this was my first time inside her room. I shooed away my thought of impropriety. I was just making sure she got to her bed for the night. Now that I though about it, she was hardly in her room. How much sleep did she get? I felt a twinge of guilt for not noticing her nightly activities.

There was another crash of thunder. I set Thistle down on her bed and pulled a blanket over her so she wouldn't cold. As I turned towards the door I felt an arm wrap around my waist. I looked at her in surprise. Her eyes were wide open in fear. Her grip got tighter as lightning arced outside her window. "Thistle..." I tried. It was very improper to be in the lady's bed that you had romantic feelings for at night without courting her first. "Pleas-" Thistle gasped as there was another crash of thunder accompanied by a bolt of lightning. Tourmaline hopped off the desk and onto my shoulder.

I caved in and got under the covers next to her. Thistle immediately curled up next to me. Tourmaline squeezed in between her arms. Thistle stopped trembling as I put my arm around her. "Thank you..." She mumbled. Just as we were falling asleep there was another crash of thunder. "It can't hurt you. You're safe." Thistle buried her face in my chest. I kept comforting her until we both finally fell asleep.

I'm sorry it's been such a long time since I've updated but now I'm in quarantine so I'll have more time to write.

Also, thank you so much for 600 reads!!! It may not seem like much to some writers but it's crazy for me. I never thought anyone would actually read my story.

Thank you so much! Ily <3
