"Are you sure about this?" asked Hiro, as he watched Jiro with hesitant eyes. "You haven't spoken to Yuna yet."
Jiro smiled. "It doesn't matter, she'll understand. I think staying with my father during the whole tournament is best."
Hiro looked at Jiro as if he wanted to say something, as the latter turned to enter his carriage bearing the prime minister's emblem.
"You are always welcome to return, Jiro." He sputtered, in a final attempt to voice out his opinion. "I've never really.. Appreciated him very much."
Jiro turned to look at him with surprised eyes, and the tips of his ears turned red.
"I.."
He stopped himself from speaking, and simply gave a sad smile, before bidding Hiro goodbye.
Hiro watched his carriage leave with a heavy chest. He felt something.. Final was going to happen.
He sighed, and turned on his heel, before returning to the fully silent estate.
Something final.

Ayame stared at the fairy in front of the plumberry tree's opening.
It donned a black kimono with white butterflies, brandishing a pure white fan.
Her black hair was styled into a bob cut, with long strands of ebony framing her smiling face.
"Ah, you must be surprised I know of your past life, no, Eiko-dono?"
Ayame pursed her lips, and nodded curtly.
The fairy's smile widened. "At a loss for words?"
"Simply conflicted." answered Ayame slowly.
The fairy fanned herself, covering her sinister smile. "Of course, of course."
She folded her fan with a swift flick.
"Why do you seek me, Eiko-dono?"
She tilted her head as her crimson eyes gleamed a darker hue.
"Is it power? Is it protection? Is it revenge? Is it adventure? Is it curiosity?"
The fairy floated closer, daring Ayame to answer.
"My, my," the fairy's eyes were a dangerous red, "it seems even you do not know, hm?"
Ayame's gaze darkened.
"I wish for answers."
The fairy was caught off guard. Her smile slipped off her face and her sinister gaze diminished for a quick moment.
Her smile did not return.
"Answers." she repeated in a low voice, almost in a dumbfounded tone.
Her dumbfounded gaze held a light of curiosity, as her tone turned serious.
"What questions are you asking, Eiko-dono?"
Ayame's gaze was almost reminiscent.
"More than I can remember."
