The accident

Mulla and parvathy come home that day she saw kathir on the street. She is still upset by the incident and did not speak much. When parvathy asks her to eat she says she is not hungry. She tries to go to her room when parvathy stops her.

Parvathy- Antha payala roadla pathathukuthan nee munjiya thuki vechutrikiya?

She goes into her room in tears. The past few days she had been feeling so depressed and low. She tried to distract herself. Tried to concentrate on other things. It seemed silly even to her. How could she miss someone she only knew well enough for a week. But she did and it was not just a week she had known him all her life. She just did not think about him much before. Now she thought of no one else. He occupied her thoughts every day and her dreams all night. It was not just the physical connection though that did play a major role. She missed his presence around her. She missed his voice on her phone and his laugh. She remembered small small details about his likes and dislikes from their childhood. She still could not understand how she thought she dint like him much. The more she thought about their childhood the more she seemed to find things to like about him.

She wanted a life with him. Filled with laughs,tears fights, joy, love and  everything else. She had been not been able to think of anything else. Nothing else made sense to her now. This sepration was unbearable. She had given her phone to her mother promising her she would not contact him. Fortunately she was sure if she had mobile with her she would have called him. Seeing today was like a shock to the system. Like the pain redoubled. She sat their sobbing her eyes out for the 100th time this week.

A week later

Murugan entered mullas room in a state of panic. She was reading and looked up at his nervous face and was immidiately concerned

M- Ena aachu pa? En Oru mathiri irukanga.?

M crying - Ena solringa? Epa?? Operationa? Enaku ipa avana odane pakanum.

Murugan and mulla hurry to the hospital. Dhanam, jeeva and moorthy are all standing in the hall and mulla rushes to dhanam.

M- Ena aachu akka? Epidi irukan? Enga avan na pakanum...

Dhanam hugs mulla crying

Moorthy- Dei jeeva suma iru da athaye solikitu..

Murugan- Ena solringa?

Mooorthy- Athu onum ila mama vidunga.

Jeeva- Eppidi anna vidrathu. Antha janarthanan na konutu vanthuren. Apa than Elam seriya varum. Ennala thane Elam.

Moorthy- Jeeva ena da nee rowdy mathri pesitu theriyara.porumaya iru. Jaga than police kita pesa poirkan ila.

Dhanam and mulla stand outside the hall crying.

M- Nejamave onum periya adi ila la? Avan nalla aiduvannila?

They wait there. Kathir soon comes out of the surgery and is asleep. The doctors say that there is nothing to worry and he will wake up in a few hours.

Murugan- Ma mulla neram aachu nama veetuku poitu kalale varalama?

Dhanam- Na kudave irupen mulla nee kavala padatha. Inga orthar than paduthuka mudiyum. Nee halla than wait pananum

Dhanam and murugan discuss and he leaves. Dhanam tells mulla to take the visitor bed but she just says no. She sits in the chair next to kathir staring at him. She sons falls asleep. When she wakes up she sees kathir staring at her. She sits up overjoyed

M- Epidi iruka?? Vali iruka?

K-  Yaar nee??

Mulla looks at him in shock. What does he mean? Does he not recognize her?

Dhanam- Dei kathiru..

M- Ena solra nee..

Kathir stares at her a moment longer and breaks into laughter.
