10. "everything has changed"

Bella stood up. She sighed and looked at her sister. Her cheeks were tear stained but she couldn't care less.  "Ill get help, I promise" Bella had a glimmer of hope. She walked down and caught sight of the people who would get her through this.

Carlos beamed when he saw her stood there. She was safe. She was unharmed, physically.  His smile dropped when he saw the hurt look in her eye. Immediately he knew something was wrong as she just stood there, staring into space.He walked towards her as everyone else gave them some space.  "Bella?" he touched her arm softly. She snapped back into reality. Her eyes were brimming with tears. "She's gone" Bella sighed. Carlos' wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close to him. She relaxed under his touch and put her arms around his neck. She let one tear fall, landing on his shoulder but he didn't care. "it'll be okay" he says softly. She rolls her eyes as they pulled from their hug. "My sister is gone, when will it ever be 'okay'" she did air quotes over the word okay. He shook his head. "I don't know, but I do know that I'll be with you every step of the way" he took her hand and smiled sympathetically. She took a deep breath and nodded. 

Uma and harry came over, both beaming. "We did it!" harry shouts earning a glare from piper. "Not the time hook" she points to her best friend. "Oh" he mumbles and piper smirked. "I shut the harry hook up" she smirks to jay who just shakes his head fondly. He wrapped his arm around her and pulled her close. "Think she'll be okay?" he asks, referring to Bella. Piper pauses to think. "One day, she's strong" She nods. Jay looks over to the couple and sighs. "Its hurting him to see her so distraught" he observes. Piper nudges him. "Since when did you use big words" she lightens the mood as she often did. He lets out a small laugh before Carlos and Bella come back over. 

Everyone gathers in Audreys room. The room is almost silent. Bella leans against the wall in the corner. It was breaking her. It was destroying her more than anyone knew. Sure she looked distraught but it was deeper than that. Her heart was broken. She felt numb. Shed never lost anyone before, not anyone this close to her. She just wanted to go back in time. Back to when they were kids. 

Flashback

Young 7 year olds piper and Bella were playing in 8 year old Audreys room. "You two be our mummy and daddy, I'll be maleficent" Audrey instructs. "But you're always the princess?" Bella asks. Audrey shot her a glare. "I want to have the power today okay?" she says, annoyed. "Okay whatever" Bella mutters walking back to her best friend.  Piper shrugs but goes along with it. "Anna I'm about to curse you okay?" Audrey shouts from outside. Bella nods and piper giggles from the corner. Audrey grabs a broom and waves it about, "cursing" her little sister. "She will prick her finger on a spinning wheel" she cackled evilly. They continued their game, having make-believe  fun like little girls did.  

"I really don't know why maleficent didn't just spell mummy and say shed sleep for 100 years" Audrey shrugs, lying down on her bed. Bella looks at piper. Piper shrugs. "Probably to get more fun" piper suggests earning a nods from both sisters. "But mummy had daddy, true loves kiss, I want a prince to do that to me when I'm big" Audrey smiles. Bella rolls her eyes. "I don't need a prince, I'll never have a true loves kiss" She states seriously.  "Yeah, all I want to do if fight Captain Hook back for my daddy" Piper adds. "You'd never win against him, he's a adult. it would be his kid" Audrey says. Piper nods. "well then ill fight his kid but I don't need no boyfriend" piper grins. Audrey shakes her head. "You'll change your mind when you're older" she says. Both 7 year olds shake their head. "If not you'll at least want power" Audrey states playing with the tiara on her head. 

"Everything has changed" she mumbles, only audible to herself. That was the moment it changed.  The moment something switched in Audreys head. She had wanted power for almost ten years. Audrey changed since that day. It was slow but it still happened. Her evil plan stemmed from a game they played as children. Audrey hadn't changed too much since then. Her thirst for power increased. But deep down it came from her want to be loved. She just wanted true love, like many princesses. Piper however hadn't changed a lot. Bella smiled a small smile. Piper was still just as obsessed with fighting harry for her dad. But she has a boyfriend now. Something she didn't need as a child. As for Bella her mindset hadn't changed a lot. She was still as bubbly and loves making mischief as much as her seven year old self. But now she had true love. He wasn't a prince as such, but it didn't matter to her. He was her Prince Charming. He kept her as happy as he could when she was upset. He cared about her like no one ever did. 

As she looked up she caught his staring at her. He was sat on the couch, alone, probably caught in his own thoughts. He went slightly red causing her to let out a little giggle. This reminded her of one of their first moments. It was so similar yet so different. Piper wasn't at her side. They usually got through everything together. They'd been best friends since they were toddlers. They'd been through everything together, growing up, getting their periods, meeting boys, everything. They had never had a fight that lasted more than an hour. They had never gone more than a day without speaking. They knew everything about each other. It felt strange that she wasn't by her side. Instead she was sat with jay. As if she could mind read piper popped her head up and gave Bella a look. A look to ask if she was okay. Bella shrugged. She didn't know what she felt. With that now shrug piper jumped up and appeared by her side. She pulled Bella into a hug which made her feel so much better. She squeezes her hand, their way of communicating whenever they couldn't talk or talking wasn't required. Bella smiled slightly. Having her best friend back at her side made this terrible situation slightly better. 

"There only one person in the world who might be able to do something about this and thats.. hades" Mal attracts bells attention. Bellas thoughts rushed to the back of her head. There was a chance her sister could come back?
