Claudia and Mattia were meeting in the evening.
This meaning that Laura had to keep her entertained, dinner time onwards. Claudia was rather lazy, not waking up any earlier than 12 o'clock on weekends, so at least a couple of hours would be wasted. Laura sat there, scrolling through her phone, checking up on social media and reading the low-key group chat of Mattia and his friends speaking excitedly of today.

Once awake, the best friends made themselves brunch (because it was too far gone breakfast) sitting on the worktop, with too many pancakes and berries they could bring themselves to finish, the slow start was really helping Laura waste time. They listened to music whilst cleaning away the massive mess and simply enjoyed each other's company. Claudia's dad was again at her Uncle's house and even though she wouldn't admit it, she felt lonely.

"Baby girl, you have to let me do some makeup!" Laura begged, pulling Claudia to her vanity, switching on the mirror lights.

"Seriously what is the big deal today?" She laughed at Laura's efforts, rolling her eyes. "But fine."

Laura pinned back her long brown hair, which flowed into naturally pretty curls, she decided to put it in a bun, keeping it casual, knowing no boy wants hair in their face whilst cuddling. Especially not long hair. Her best friend was naturally pretty but she enjoyed doing her makeup, keeping it lowkey.

By the time they had done, with all the messing around, snapchat taking, singalongs, and the multiple times they had to redo an eyebrow because they were laughing too much at the goofy snaps Mattia would reply with, it was edging on five, the time had slipped away. Mattia was expecting her to be dropped off at half six, maybe it was time to rush around now.

Kairi and Alejandro had been roped into helping. Pouring candies they were forbidden from eating into different bowls, despite Mattia's mother furious response with her missing kitchenware, and strung a blanket around his bed with fairy lights, a low-key fort, not so childish.

Mattia was meeting Laura with Claudia at the school parking lot, seeming as it was just around the corner from his house and maybe it wouldn't sound so creepy-like if they met in public before whisking her away to his bedroom.

"Not to worry you bro, but we need to be there in 15" Kairi said, fixing one more light around the television, hopefully Claudia would need some fairy lights after this.

"Well let's go then!" Mattia beamed from ear to ear, the room looked cool, almost as if it was from picture stuck into the scrapbook made by the miniature Claudia. They left the room, his friends wishing his parents farewell and leaving the Polibio household.

They pulled up next to the only car in the parking lot, they could see in the distance two girls, one blinded being spun around by the other. It was them. The smile hadn't left Mattia's face and grew even more as watched her smile and laugh, dimples prominent.

"Time to meet your girl" Alejandro gave him a lucky punch on his bicep. They were going to go with Laura for food, a wingman celebratory meal.

Mattia walked ahead, eager to pull her into his arms, the two others trailing behind, phones at the ready, sure to capture their best friend's star moment. Laura had now stop spinning the small girl, so when the blindfold would be removed, she could actually tell who was accompanying them.

"Laura? Can you take this off yet? I am worrying a little you're selling me to the italian mafia." She giggled once again.

"Okay, In three.. two.." Mattia stood exactly in front her, rubbing his hands nervously, slightly sweating even though the air was cooling, but still had the stupid grin plastered on his face. "..One."

Laura removed the sleep mask and Mattia outstretched his arms wide and Claudia's mouth dropped in shock, she walked forward wrapping her arms tightly around his waist, she only came to chest height and his arms rested comfortably on her shoulders.
