Claudia lay with her friends surrounding her.
Mattia kept her close, Laura stroked her long hair out of her face as silent tears fell, Kairi and Alejandro hugged her legs: which made her laugh at their idea of comfort. Spongebob cackled through the television and different treat bags crinkled, from candy to chips. The friends had been worried sick all night, Claudia had her phone off upon arrival to the hospital and didn't turn it on until the following morning. Laura had guessed almost instantly what was up with her best friend, she was never the one to just disappear like the way she did. Claudia woke to loving messages, which made her cry even more at how she had found such caring people, she sent them a group text, explaining she wasn't so fine. Not only an hour later, they were stood at her door, smothering her in a group hug.
"I think we should go and get something to eat" Laura said. "You know, instead of fattening yourself up with sweets."
"You're acting's like if we went out we wouldn't end up at Subway or Chick-Fil-A" Kairi teased.
Laura kicked Kairi off of the bed and got up herself, pulling Claudia along with her: taking her to the closet. She shut the door behind her and started rummaging through the different clothes. Keeping the girl busy was the best way to keep her mind off of things and keep her from crying, one thing she hated seeing was her best friend cry.
"We can drag the boys shopping, I'll treat you to something, like you need anything else." Laura giggled looking at the large amount of clothes. "..But who doesn't love some retail shopping and lots of options, right?"
Claudia gave her a sad smile, she really appreciated how amazing Laura was to her. She changed into a pair of ripped mom jeans and an oversized navy blue sweatshirt. It was comfy, it was casual, it was cute. Again, Laura insisted on putting on a bit of makeup for her and left her hair naturally wavy.
"Is this necessary for the mall?" Alejandro asked.
"It is necessary, if she looks good, she's going to feel slightly better. Or do you just want to see your friend upset?" Laura seethed, throwing a pillow in Alejandro's direction but instead hitting Mattia's phone into his face.
"Hey!"
It made Claudia laugh, this turning Mattia's angered expression into a smile, he didn't like seeing her upset, it made him want to cry with her. At first he felt stupid for feeling like that but it was another way his heart was telling him how much he liked her.
"Let's go get some food!"
