Mattia sat tapping on the scribbled desk.
He hasn't been in detention for a while, he would goof around and get in trouble, but what Mattia's friends made fun of him for was how much he had matured lately. So far he was the only one in the classroom, from his past reputation his last period teacher escorted him to detention. The more the boy sat alone, the more he began to fidget and think about how much his life had spiraled in the past week. He didn't ever have a moment to just think about what to do, without something unexpected happening. Deep down, Mattia knew that he couldn't just give up on Claudia, and he hoped she felt the same way too.
The door opened and multiple people stepped into the room, Laura caught his eye but wasn't amused because behind her followed Claudia, Alejandro and Kairi whom which looked guilty but smug. It made Mattia wonder what they had done and why they were here, but of course he'd have to wait until he was home to text Kairi. The teacher assigned the offenders seats, all decently spaced out, Laura was placed at the front, lucky for him.
"Bro she got us all put in detention, she still wants you." Kairi whispered as he walked past his friend, nodding his head towards Claudia.
With a smile tugging at his lips, Mattia leaned back into his seat, right now he wanted to turn to Laura and tell her a big 'Fuck you!', she hadn't won and she wasn't going to. The tension he had felt lately had began to loosen, of course he still had to actually get her back first. The rest of the hour consisted of him thinking of different ways to sort things out with his girl, he even doodled them down in a pretty little diagram.

Mattia rushed off after class, unable to stop and talk.
Claudia walked with her friends, she felt grateful to have them, seeming as she didn't see them as close. When she suggested for them to get put into detention for no good reason other than she wanted to see what Mattia and Laura were all about.
"I don't understand why he loves you so much."
"Excuse me?" Claudia said, turning to face her once best friend. "I don't understand how my best friend could do me so wrong?"
"No you did me wrong, I like Mattia and you took him from me!" Laura replied.
"That's funny seeming as you never once mentioned liking him or him at all to me and who helped Mattia and I get together? You!"
With the worry that the girls would lend them in more detentions, Kairi and Alejandro came between them as Laura approached more angrily. The scene made the boys feel saddened, two girls had let a guy come between them, their whole lives of friendship ended over jealousy. It made Alejandro think how he had just done the same.
"Go to hell Claudia."
Laura shoved past the three friends and marched out of the school, leaving Claudia to cry in the arms of Kairi.
