My phone's consistent ringing pulls me from dream land. I groan loudly, for dramatic effect, I feel around for my electronic device. I finally find it and slide it finger over the accept button.
"Hello?" I ask groggily. "Miss Cooper." I roll my eyes. "What do you want Colton? And how'd you get my number?" I ask. I slowly pull myself out of bed and trudge over to my closet. I hate Tuesday. Actually, I hate all days except Saturday and Sunday.
"Galvin. He's my computer guy. I'm the boss babe, remember?" I scoff. My attention drifts to my clothes scattered around my closet. "Yeah whatever. So what's so important you woke me up this early?" I ask impatiently. I grab an off the shoulder blue top and some black ripped jeans.
"An answer." He says slowly. I laugh and place my phone on my desk, clicking speaker. "It isn't Friday." I say. I pull on my top, trying to focus on Colton and not how to do my hair. "I'm impatient. Sue me, Super Girl." Despite myself, I feel a smile taking shape.
"What's up with these nicknames?" I ask, chuckling. "Am I on speaker?" He asks, changing the subject. "Yeah. How'd you-"
"I'm echoing." He explains. "Oh." I say shortly. He laughs. "What are you doing?" He questions. I pause from pulling on my jeans and flush. "Um, my makeup." I lie. I finish getting dressed and throw on my high tops. I hear the annoying guy laugh.
"You don't wear makeup." He points out. He noticed that? "I'm playing around with it." I lie again. He scoffs playfully. "Sure." He mumbles. I smile and bring my phone back to my ear. "Don't believe me, Pretty Boy?" I tease. "Of course not." I hear the smile in his voice.
I pull my hair into a pony tail and jog downstairs. "Look, I'll see you at school Colton. I need to finish getting ready and leave early." I tell him. He's silent for a moment. "Starbucks?" He questions. I laugh. "Mostly everyday." I admit. He hums. "See you there Super Girl." He sings before hanging up.
"You're already done?" Damien asks in astonishment. I laugh and nod. "So, change of plans." I say slowly. He frowns at me. "What?" I sigh. "I can't pick you up later. I need to make a small...errand right after school." I tell him. His frown deepens.
"So you won't meet Violet?" He asks, sadly. I shake my head. "I can drop you off this morning. I can meet her then D." I say. His face lights up. Nick joins us, hurrying down the stairs and trying to push us out the door. "We haven't said goodbye to Mom and Dad yet." Damien whines.
Nick sighs. "I'm going to pick up Leah." He says. I frown. "I can get her." I say stubbornly. My brother falters. "Fine. Whatever. Before Henry." He says. I watch him get in his car and drive off.
Weird. Damien runs back inside to bid our parents goodbye. I, on the other hand, pull out my vibrating phone.
Pain in my ass-Hey Super Girl. What's everyone's
Order at Starbucks? I'll order.

I chuckle.
