Colton jumped back so quickly I thought he might snap his neck. We both turn to Nick. Stupid dumbass. He almost kissed me. Nick is glaring at Colton with his arms crossed and a scowl on his lips. "Seriously? He could be dying! And you two are kissing?" He asks in disbelief and disgust.
I clear my throat. He looks at me. "Almost. We were almost kissing. You um interrupted before we could." I correct. His hard gaze makes me lower my eyes. I take a quick glance at Colton. He has a slight smirk on his face. Douchebag.
"Boss?" We hear someone call. The three of us return to the main room. Duncan is chatting with Galvin who looks like he just ran a marathon. "What Galvin?" He asks. Galv stares at us with wide eyes. "We just got a hit on Damien Cooper's location." He announces. Nick and I stop glaring at each other and snap our heads to look at him.
"Are you sure?" Nick asks hopefully. Galvin does a double take. "Who's the poorly dressed sweaty dude?" I stifle a laugh. Nick clenches his jaw. Duncan and Colton chuckle. "Nicholas Cooper. Naomi's twin brother. He wants to help. We've been training all night." Colton explains.
Galvin slowly nods before focusing on our first topic. "Yes really." He says. Duncan and Colton share a look. Colt turns to me. "You can be backup. Change and bring a gun." He orders. I frown. "Backup? He's my brother." I protest, frowning.
He ignores me, ordering Duncan and Galvin to assemble the guys. Nick clears his throat. Colton sighs and turns to us again. "You're both lookout. I'm your boss. I suggest you listen." He says sternly. No room for question.
Nick scoffs. "You're her boss. Not mine. I'm helping." My brother says. Colton crosses his arms. "Fine. I'm her boss. But while on this mission, Nicholas, I'm your boss as well. Either that, or you stay locked in your room with someone watching you. Take your pick." I'm surprised by the lack of emotion in Colton's voice.
Nick backs down slightly. "Colton please?" I beg. He shakes his head. "We'll save your brother Super Girl. In order to do that, I need to know you're safe as well. Understand?" I sigh and nod. Lookout is better then nothing I guess.
Colton manages a smile at me and swings an arm over my shoulder. I let him lead me outside to his car. The three of us get in and head towards the warehouse. Nick seems uncomfortable and out of place when we step through the doors. The men stare at him, some in confusion, others in curiosity. Except that guy I don't like. I forget his name.
"New recruit Boss?" He asks, smugly. Colton rolls his eyes and shoves past him. Nick keeps his eyes trained on the ground and follows us to the door. I hear a few faint wolf whistles, probably the cause of me still wearing workout shorts and a sports bra. Nick's relief is very noticeable when we reach Colton's office.
"Bathroom down the hall for you to change Nick. Naomi, you can change in here." He says. Nick looks between us hesitantly. "You won't be-"
"Of course not. You're sister is beautiful dude, don't get me wrong, but I ain't a pervert." Colton says, putting his hands up in surrender. Nick raises an eyebrow and I blush deeply. "Beau-"
"If you want to find your brother, go change." Coltom cuts him off. My brother sends one last glare at him, grabs his bag and hauls his ass down to the bathroom. Colton turns to me. "You called me beautiful." I point out slowly. He smirks at me and walks out, closing the door behind him.
