Chapter Six

"Why're you so quiet hun?" Mom asks during dinner. I look up. My whole family is staring at me. "Um." I stutter. Damien grins. "Naomi got a boyfriend." He blurts. Dad and Nick's eyes widen the size of saucers. Mom grins.

"Boyfriend?" Dad questions. I shake my head fast, giving me a sudden headache. "No. Damien is lying. I'm still single." I say. Damien laughs. "But you like someone." Nick says slowly. Mom claps.

"My baby likes somebody?" She asks. I glare at my brother.

"No. But Damien does." I say, directing the attention elsewhere. While my mom questions my little brother and my dad and Nick laugh, I slip away and upstairs to my room.

Beep beep

Dom-

So? Spill the tea sis. What

Colton and Duncan?

Me-

Nothing Dominic. And whatever

U do....do NOT tell Nick, Henry,

Or Leah that I left with Colton. I don't

Want it getting around the family.

Dom-

I wait for a response that never comes. Suddenly, I hear the doorbell. I open my door to go get it but Damien beats me to it. "Dom! You're back?"My younger brother exclaims. I nearly trip over my own feet when I start running to the door.

"Naomi. Just the cousin I wanted to see. Your room?" I narrow my eyes at him but nonetheless nod. Dominic yells a hello to my parents and follows me up the stairs.

"Okay, now they we're alone..." Dominic starts, closing and locking my bedroom door.

I turn to him. "You almost kissed Colton?" My cousin says in disbelief. I slowly nod. Dom scoffs loudly, a slow smile forming on his face.

"Why would he, a super hot popular guy, want to kiss you, an ugly potato?" My cousin teases. I scowl at him. "Asshole."

I mutter. He chuckles. I hear my phone's custom text tone for Colton start ringing. I dive for it but Dominic beats me.

"Give it!" I order. He holds it above his head, laughing as I try and jump for it.

"Hi Super Girl. Are you free right now." Dominic reads. I jump for it again but it's no use. I hate tall people. "Let me reply." I whine. Dominic finally hands me my phone back.
