-Season 8: 2012-
"Achoo!" Veronica exclaimed, a groan following as she collapsed back against the bed – her body aching, shivering, and burning all at once. As she attempted to sit up again, Spencer gently laid a hand against her shoulder, setting her back down.
"You've got to stay in bed and rest," Spencer firmly spoke, his hand stroking Veronica's hair as she sniffled, her eyes drooping from weakness.
Veronica attempted to take a deep breath, small wheezing sounds releasing from her mouth, "You don't have to stay here, you know. I don't want you getting sick," She gave a small cough as her words raspily exited her mouth.
"A single sneeze can spray 100,000 germs into the air, which is why you should keep a six-foot distance from a sneezing, ill person," Spencer randomly spat.
Veronica chuckled with a cough following as she smiled, "Well then go get your six feet distance, you goob."
Spencer smirked as he continued to stroke her hair, "Just let me know when you're about to sneeze, and I'll run for it," He grinned as Veronica rolled her eyes, attempting to hide a growing smile. "Besides, you have a sinus infection with no fever so its highly unlikely to be contagious. You've also been on antibiotics for two days now. So, unless we rub sinuses, I'll be fine," Spencer perceptively commented.
Veronica raised her eyebrows, a devilish smirk appearing on her lips, "Sounds freaky," she jabbed. Spencer chuckled, a rosy tint covering his cheeks as his gaze turned to the blankets.
His view returned to Veronica's face as he gave a quick smile, "I want to take care of you," he reservedly whispered.
"Spence', you take care of me all the time. I'll be okay if you need to go - it's a miracle you're still here considering you despise the idea of germs and pathogens being passed," She smirked, raising her hands to make her fingers wiggle in a spooky manner.
Spencer smirked, slowly leaning down and resting a kiss against her forehead, "You make me feel normal," he quietly admitted, lowering his head to gaze into her eyes again.
"Spencer, forget normal or weird, those are just labels that people put on other people to feel comfortable - to give themselves an explanation for something. You are enough. You always have been," Veronica passionately spoke, taking Spencer's hands and tightly holding them as she smiled.
Spencer simpered, gazing into her eyes before glancing down at his hands, his body stiffening.
Veronica grinned and rolled her eyes, "Go wash your hands," she knowingly spoke – seeing him bite his lip and slightly fidget in her grip.
"Thank you so much-" Spencer broke from the embrace and jumped off the bed, wildly sprinting to the bathroom, leaving Veronica in a fit of laughter – small coughs in between.
