-End of Season 4: 2009-

"Oh, lover boy!" Derek taunted, grinning as he trotted towards Spencer's desk. "You owe me – BIG time," He devilishly rubbed his hands together, a mischievous grin blooming across his face.

"I thought we were even after all the times I saved your life?" Spencer slyly remarked, glancing up from the current case file strewn across his desk.

"Ha, ha. Funny - but you won't regret this," Morgan threw a playful wink towards Spencer before turning his attention to the main doors of the office.

"Aye, Curly-Q, get in here!" Derek called out, resting his hands upon his hips.

Without another breath in the room, Reid saw bouncing chocolate curls and a tall, curvy figure glide into the room.

"Veronica!" Spencer yelped, bolting from his chair at her presence. A silly grin grew on his slim lips as Veronica sprinted into his arms, nearly tackling him onto his desk. Her arms tightly wound around his torso as her head nestled in the crook of his neck, taking in his sophisticated scent of coffee beans, clean-cut newspaper, and fresh cologne that always reminded her of the mountains.

When Spencer finally registered the woman clinging to him, his hands glued themselves to her body. His fingers dug themselves into her back as his face rested against her soft curls that surrounded him with the familiar aroma of lavender and vanilla.

"What are you doing here?" He bewilderingly muttered, slightly pulling away from the comfort of her curls to view her gleaming smile.

She smirked, nodding her head in Derek's direction as a chuckle escaped her lips. He furiously blushed and peered behind his shoulder to see Derek wildly grinning before strutting off.

"I was told you hadn't left the comfort of this desk in a few days. Derek was tired of seeing it, and I was tired of hearing about it," She scoffed as she played with the collar of his button-up. "So, Derek arranged a flight for me, and here I am!" She grinned, sharing eye contact with Spencer. "I missed you. I would never give up an opportunity to see you, even if only for a day. Also - " She paused abruptly, biting her lip "I just needed to be near you again. Even if it's only for a little bit," She intimately murmured while giving a small smile, Spencer returning the favor as he brushed strands of hair from her smooth face.

"Of course. Absolutely. Good," He stuttered. "I'm just still kind of in shock that you're here," He grinned, his thumbs tracing against her cheeks.

"I'm here, and, for at least a day, I'm not going anywhere," She sincerely whispered, her hand setting against Spencer's cheek.

"More than a day-" Hotch intruded, suddenly walking by the couple.

"What?" Reid confusingly glanced at Hotch, and then back to Veronica.

"Take the weekend off - we don't want her coming down here for nothing. I'll call if there's an emergency," He gave a gentle smile to the couple before marching into his office.

"Well, you heard the boss," Veronica grinned, intertwining her fingers with Spencer's. "Vacation starts: now!" She giggled as Spencer could barely grab his satchel and some papers before Veronica rushed him out the door. The two lovers with two very big grins jogged to the elevator, staring at one another. As they reached the elevator doors, Veronica's hands clasped around Spencer's neck and pulled him forward, passionately landing her lips to his, his hands setting upon her hips.

Spencer's face amusingly burned red as Derek whooped and hollered on the other side of the glass, Garcia standing beside him and giving two large thumbs-ups.
