C H A P T E R F O U R T E E N

•Addison•

"Pass the popcorn, will you?" I tap Luke's shoulder as he passes me the bowl of my favorite buttery movie snack, dropping a couple on the floor.

"I'm not cleaning that up." I say as I take the bowl and pop a few pieces of popcorn in my mouth.

"Uh huh.." Luke says, putting a hand over my mouth.

"Luuukee" I say with a muffled voice.

"Shh.." he says, his eyes not leaving the screen. "Ad, I love you, but please shush up. This is one of my favorite movies." he whispers and smirks. We were currently in Luke's room watching Mean Girls, which I didn't know Luke liked until now.

"Then get your hand off my mouth, Hemmings." I say.

"Not if you don't stop talking." he bites his lip and I smirk. I dart my tongue out and he jerks his hand away from my mouth.

"Ohh gross, Adten!" he wrinkles his nose in disgust and I laugh at his cuteness.

"Tried to warn you." I shrug. He wipes his hand on his black leather jacket and I roll my eyes.

"Oh, don't be such a girl Lukey Poo."

He glares at me and jabs a finger to my side and tickles me. I swat at his hand.

"Hey!"

"Ticklish, are we?" he smirks.

"I though we've established that already." I roll my eyes and cross my arms over my chest.

"Sure sure." he chuckles

He kisses the tip of my nose and we continue watching the movie.

"Hey Addie.."

"Yep?"

"I'm going down to get some more popcorn."

"Kay." he pokes my cheek and I smile as he leaves the room, taking the empty bowl with him.

I keep my eyes glued to the screen until I feel my phone vibrating in my pocket.

I take it out and check my message.

From: Unknown

You'll regret not listening to me Allison

My stomach lurches. I know of only one person who would say something like that to me or call me Allison.

'You guys will never work out, alright? He's too good for you, so just don't, or you'll regret it.'

Cassandra's words ring through my mind as I drop my phone on the bed.

But there's nothing she could possibly do, right? Luke told me to ignore her, and that's excatly what I'll do.

But I can't help but wonder what she means, and it sickens me to the bone just thinking about it.

•Luke•

I open the door with a full bowl of popcorn and see Addie on the bed, staring at her phone which was sitting on top of my bed sheets. She had a worried and confused expression etched onto her beautiful face and I crease my eyebrows.

"Ad you alright?" she turns her head in my direction, her long brown hair falling over her face.

I walk over to her and tuck her hair behind her ear. "What's wrong?"

She shakes her head and smiles. "Nothing. Just tired, I guess.."

"You sure?" I ask and she nods.

I put the bowl on my bedside table and sit beside her on the bed, my back leaning on the bed's head rest.

She puts her head and her hands on my chest and I wrap my arms around her, my chin on her head, the movie still playing on the tv screen.

"Addie?"

"Uh huh?"

I smile and kiss her hair. "Nothing."

She looks up at me, her face still had a kind of scared expression, but with a small smile.

She leans forward and pecks my lips. "Shut up and watch the movie, right Hemmo?"

I chuckle and nod, and we fix our attention back on the tv again.

I know something was bothering Addie, like how she didn't talk during the rest of the movie or make fun of me.

And I had to find out somehow.

It kinda has this paranormal theme going on so it's really cool, so go check it out: Man in the Mirror by @claryvette :) it's a really good book guys so go read it it has stuff to with ghosts so I LOVE IT GO CHECK IT OUT
