Screaming, I woke up in a cold sweat. Breathing heavily, I put a hand to my neck. "Jesus Christ," I whispered and tried to swallow. Looking at the clock on my wall, it read 4:23 am.

Getting up, I walk into the bathroom. Looking in the mirror, I was drenched in blood. Not knowing how it got there, I just thought I went hunting and maybe forgot. Sighing, I went to get some clothes and took a cold shower to wake myself up more. I was tempted to lick the blood off but didn't want to go on another killing rampage.

After the shower and a few hours went by.

Watching TV, I hear a few branches crunching outside. Pausing the show, I listen. Growling slightly I see a shadowy figure walking up to my window. Crouching on all fours, I stare intently at the figure. Sniffing the air, it wasn't a scent I remember and started to growl louder, hoping to scare the intruder off.

Both of us wasn't moving. I growled louder, my throat vibrating. The intruder backed up but not enough to my satisfaction. Still on all fours, I slowly crawl towards the window.

My fangs start to grow and my  senses enhance. 'Dont turn.. not yet' I told myself. 'Not until you have to,' slowly peaking through the curtains, there wasn't anyone there. Suspicious, I grabbed my gun off of the table, unlocked my back door, and stepped outside.

Since I had no neighbors around me and had no gates or fences, I was quite skeptical about why someone was around my house. 'Maybe they know my secret .. no. That's impossible. I've always been careful when I turn.. Maybe it's just kids trying to prank me or something like that... Yeah, it's just kids.' I reassured myself.

Walking a little further into my backyard towards the woods, I hear more branches crunching. I quickly crouch down as I stare intensely into the dense trees. "Who's there?" I asked sternly and threatening. Not getting an answer, I pulled out my gun from behind my back, where it was tucked away in the heam of my shorts. Taking it off of safety guard, I held it beside me.

"I'll shoot if you don't answer me!" I shouted into the woods. There was another series of branches crunching. Holding the gun up, I aimed it wherever the noises were coming from. Hearing a low growl, I dropped the gun, quickly forgetting it, and darted into the woods.

Once I entered the entrance of the woods, I turned. These were my woods, I knew every tree, every hideout, every dead end. Whoever was hiding beyond thick trucks was in my territory, and I show no mercy for outsiders.

Following the sounds, I knew I was close. I couldn't smell their scent, so that lets me know that they knew how to cover it. Panting, I ran faster and finally saw another living thing. A wolf to be exact. But bigger. 'How could that be? I thought I was the only one.' Confused and curious, I ran up to it. Whatever or whoever it is, they were trying to lose me.

Zigzagging this way and that, but little did they know, they were headed straight for a dead end. Smiling mentally, I got closer. Snarling loudly, I caught it off guard and ended up colliding with it. Tumbling downhill, I latched onto it's muzzle, blood exploding into my mouth as they yelped and whined.
