He ran up and pushed through the door. He saw Ophelia trying to pry her dad off of her.

"What the fuck do you think you are doing here tin can!?" David screamed.

Hoseok's hands turned into fists as he attacked David.

The body fell to the group with a loud thump.

"Who do you think you are!?" David screamed.

Hoseok stood in front of Ophelia in a protective matter.

David grabbed his head and smashed it against the wall. Hoseok didn't lose time and kicked David in the gut.

The waltzed around the room, fighting. David got a hold of Hoseok's neck. He tried to break free, but it was somehow becoming impossible.

"This is what you get for-" A gunshot. David was cut off halfway by the ear-deafening sound of a gunshot.

Hoseok fell to the ground. He looked up and saw Ophelia crying her eyes out. He ran towards her in a flash. He hugged her while tugging the gun on his belt.

"Everything is going to be okay." Hoseok tried to sooth Ophelia. "Let's go back to your mom"

He held her hand and led her out of the house as quickly as he could. She hugged her stuffed animal as they ran. Hoseok closed the door of the house and suddenly noticed the rain.

He sighed in relief, as the blood would wash off his uniform.

"We'll have to walk there Ophelia," He said in a low voice.

Ophelia only nodded as her eyes were turning redder, but her sobs had stopped.

They walked quickly towards the bus and got on. He checked the map and saw it glitch over.

Once they both sat down, the bus began to move.

Ophelia rested her head on Hoseok as he slowly hugged her back.

"This is the last stop," The driver said.

Hoseok nodded and shook Ophelia awake gently.

She opened her eyes and looked at Hoseok tiredly.

"Are we there yet?" Ophelia said stretching her arms out.

"Not yet," He said standing up and walking out the bus with Ophelia right behind.

He looked around and recognized the street corner they were currently walking on.

"We are downtown" He mumbled to himself.

The rain had stopped, allowing the windows to fog over. The neon of the city washed out as most business has white lights inside. The road extended for what seemed like miles. The two interconnecting bridges seemed off for the night and the metro line was also turned off.

He walked towards the convenience store and entered quickly.

"Hey! Androids are not allowed!" The clerk yelled.

Hoseok recoiled and walked right back out.

"Androids are not allowed in convenience stores?" Ophelia asked as they walked away from the store.

"By law, we can't" He answered looking around for somewhere else.

He spotted a motel with a sign that read: Free Android Admission.

"Over there," Hoseok said as they crossed the street.

Hoseok sat on the chair weighing his options. The room was rather small but well kept and comfy. The bed took up most of the space as the wooden walls closed in on him. He was trying to figure out what happened. He could see Ophelia sleeping soundly. His brain ran a mile an hour as he thought the situation over.

If Miss Laura saw him and knew what had happened, she would throw him out or give him to the authorities. He was a sentient android. Those were always hated.

Most facilities made sure to create a protective switch that would stop android from disobeying or thinking on their own.

He looked down and saw his hands glitching. His systems were trying to take him back to his normal form, but he didn't want to. He wanted to stay like that. He wanted to think and feel.

He closed his eyes and sighed.

To save himself and everyone else, he had to leave himself behind, but if he followed his wants.... He had to fight out of it.

He stood up and walked to the bathroom. The mirror showed him a glitchy version of himself.

He reached back and pulled his compartment open. He dug around for a little before finding the cable he was looking for. He took it between his hands and snapped it.

He felt a strong shock go up and down his body. His vision was washed over with purple. He looked up and focused. The systems began to restart as he looked at himself.

He closed his eyes and opened them once more. There he was. Hoseok was standing on his own.

He pulled his hand back and saw the blue liquid that he knew too well. He sighed again and closed the compartment.

He walked out and grabbed the motel's phone.

"Ophelia!" "Mom"

Hoseok saw from the corner of the street as Ophelia ran to hug Miss Laura. Hoseok had chosen.

He had no plan moving forward, but he wanted it.

He turned around and walked down the street. His uniform hung from a fence right next to the motel. His new hoodie smelled like newly cleaned.

"Off we go," He said to himself as he got inside the same bus from the night before.

Hoseok ran. His limbs were giving it all they got.

He took a sharp corner and hid between buildings. The men ran across screaming slurs and insults.

He had been chased ever since someone saw him. He let out a breath as he saw the coast cleared.

He looked to his right and saw a crowd gathered around a brightly lit window. He walked towards it and saw a ring. A fighting ring.

He saw the opponents. He noticed the youngest one.

As the fight started, the youngest looking contestant took down the man and almost killed him with bare hands. Hoseok held his breath the whole time.

He suddenly got pulled off the window and dragged back.

He knew what it was.

He kicked and screamed but the men didn't budge.

"Now you will know how to feel," The man said throwing Hoseok inside a van.
