Their feet guided them blindly as they tried to leave. Something felt wrong to the fours of them but it was already too late.
A golden corridor extended before them. Doors framed with precious metals, big sculptures and grandeur looked down upon them.
Chan hissed as his chest tightened.
Jisung didn't hesitate as he took his steps toward the grandness.
The rest of the children held onto their own pride as they made their way behind.
"Are we sure of any of this?" Minho said as he turned to Hyunjin.
The younger child cracked his knuckles as a sudden feeling of relief washed against his veins.
"No" Hyunjin answered simply as the door rumbled the entire building as it opened.
Light poured from the inside. Chan knew what was about to happen and he didn't look forward to it. He groaned as he took a few steps forward.
He really didn't want to see his father.
Felix and Changbin ran around the labyrinth in an attempt to escape Demeter's prison. Blades, magic and even open compartments looted the place.
Felix held onto Changbin's shoulder as he jumped over the wall. The other side was covered in smoke and water.
Changbin fell next to him right after. His lungs tightened as he coughed.
"What is this?" Changbin mumbled as they went forward.
Nothing seemed to materialize. They walked through a certain fog that barely gave them way.
"Isn't this what rested in the river?" Felix suddenly asked.
Changbin turned his head to the younger child.
"This fog is soul right?"
Changbin extended his hand but nothing stuck nor did it move. It was as if they were the fog.
"It's not," Changbin said dryly as he inspected his hand. "This is an illusion"
Felix paused. His hands rattled his pockets in a desperate manner. He gripped the stone tightly and pulled it out.
The green light pushed back the fog almost entirely.
Changbin drew his blade as furniture materialized. Shelves of all sizes grew up and up until the contents were unidentifiable. Rows of said shelves covered every inch of the room.
Both of the children moved with caution.
A groan took them by surprise. A golden arrow struck right next to their head.
"Seungmin!" Changbin yelled as he stared at the thing that almost killed him.
"Sorry!" A muffled voice yelled back as a more deteriorated groan hit their ears.
They followed the noises almost blindly. They stopped in their tracks as they spotted Woojin levitation different object towards the monsters from Sparta.
Changbin charged right through as he ripped on head off cleanly.
Woojin looked back as connected gazes with Felix. Only for his eyes to fall on the stone.
He allowed the pieces of wood and books to come to the ground as he pulled the younger child to another section of the place.
Woojin suddenly pulled out a vase-like object that had snakes for the handles. Felix shifted between the vase, the jewel and the mess around them as he tried to figure the plan out for himself.
They reached a table as the vase hit it rather harshly. Only then did Felix finally see Medusa's real head. Made out of some kind of marble.
"Place the jewel in her mouth," Woojin said before sprinting farther away from the table.
Felix was left speechless as he stared at the vase.
He placed his hands around one of the snakes gently and turned it toward himself.
A chill went down his spine as the gorgon's face stared right through him. He swallowed as he pressed the jewel in between the snake-like teeth. He pushed until he heard a crack.
His mind fumbled quickly as it began to break.
The snake moved his head as Felix jumped back. The snakes began to wrap around the head as the eyes shined a bright light green.
Out of pure practice, Felix turned the thing around so it would stare a the mass of soldiers coming his way.
The vase did a pop sound as the soldiers turned to a grey stone before vanishing into ash.
"Felix!" Woojin called out.
"Yeah?!" Felix answered back with his hands over his eyes just in case.
"Did the soldiers stop!?"
Changbin rolled his eyes as he made his way to the latter that stood among the shelves.
"I think so!" The young boy answered, still refusing to open his eyes.
Seungmin pulled at his hands. Felix flinched slightly at the look of pure madness Apollo's son carried.
"You are lucky Minho won't know about that jewel ever reaching Olympus," Woojin said as he walked closer to the duo.
"It's Felix, what else did you expect?" Changbin said as he placed a bulk of boxed scrolls on the table next to Medusa.
A soldier suddenly came out of the corridor running their way, only to turn to ash as the older children conversed.
Felix and Seungmin shared a look before paying attention.
"There must be something about the origin of the Carrier," Woojin said. "Or the what happened to the Underworld"
Changbin clutched his jaw.
"We also need to find the other children" He responded.
"They are on their way to Zeus." He said nonchalantly.
The other three looked at him in shock.
"Do they want to die!?" Seungmin asked.
Woojin lifted his eyes.
"I'm not sure but Chan is not having the greatest of times and Jisung in fuming" He answered as he opened a scroll.
Another monster turned to ash as they inspected the writing.
Woojin cursed under his breath. Changbin read as he tried to decipher the words.
"This is Jisung's birth," Changbin said.
Woojin stared at him in surprise. "You know..."
"I learned it from the man that taught me everything I know about the Underworld" Changbin answered
Woojin paused.
"Where was Charon?" He asked
Changbin shook his head.
"We have way bigger problems to solve right now," He said pointing to a specific page. "Mainly when we are talking about a cursed goddess"
Jeongin held onto Arachme's hand as he came up to the entrance of Olympus.
"We need to be quick," Arachme said. "This place is filled with power"
Jeongin stared at the entrance as he could hear waves. Why could he hear water?
"Come on," Arachme said holding onto his hand.
