The young Izuku sniffled yet stood up for the child that had been shoved to the ground. "That's mean, Kacchan. Can't you see he's crying? If you keep going, I-I-I'll never forgive you!"
"Even though you're Quirkless...you're pretending to be a hero, Deku?" The young Katsuki taunted his friend. The young Izuku flinched as Katsuki and his friends lunged at him. They all laughed as they tortured the young boy.
All men are not created equal. This was the reality Izuku learned about society at the young age of four. And that was the first and last setback he was ever going to take.
He had grown into a fine young teenager thanks to his loving mother (and no thanks to his absentee father). He never gave Inko any sort of problems and respected her for everything she did. However, that desire to be a hero never faded. In fact, he aspired to be one now more than ever.
The young teen made his way to class, walking the familiar streets in attempts to arrive at the building. He was so lost in thought that he didn't notice the crowd until he bumped into a few people. He snapped back into the real world and noticed that the group was crowded. He pushed past as many people as possible and got to the front. Once there, he observed that it was a battle between a giant villain and a few heroes.
"Who's fighting?" The green-haired teen asked no one in particular. He then saw the figure up against the giant villain. Excitement flashed in his eyes. "Kamui Woods! The young and talented rising star!"
An old man standing next to the ecstatic teen let out an amused chuckle. "You were the one asking, but you gave a perfect commentary, kid." He smirked at the boy. "You're a fanboy, aren't you?"
"Uh, well...." he rubbed his neck in embarrassment, "you could say that." They all continued to watch the epic fight between Kamui Woods and the giant villain. When Kamui stopped and got in position, Izuku's breath hitched. "Here it comes!" His face was shining bright with excitement. "Preemptive Binding Lacquered Chain Prison!"
"Canyon Cannon!"
Izuku was dumbfounded at the new challenger that had approached the fight. She was a blonde hero with a cream colored catsuit. "Today is the day of my debut! My name is Mt. Lady. A pleasure to make your ass-quaintance." The paparazzi quickly took over to snap pictures.
"Gigantification, huh?" He pulled out his notebook and clicked his pen. The teen began to scribble down any information he could about this new hero. "She looks like she'll be popular, and it's an amazing Quirk, but thinking about the damage to the city that'll go hand in hand with that, its use might be limited? No, but whether or not she can control the size...."
"Hey wait, you're taking notes?" The old man was surprised at the teens actions yet intrigued at how dedicated the boy was. "You wanna be a hero? That's great! You can do it!"
"Yes!" He looked at the man with confidence. "I'll do my best!"
The lessons at Aldera Junior High has gone by rather quickly, nothing memorable going on. All the excitement about the villain fight had gone down and nothing exciting ever occurred at the school. However, the students were preparing for their next step in their educational career.
"Since you're all third years, it's time for you to think seriously about your future," the teacher began. "I'll pass out handouts for your future plans now, but...you're all...pretty much planning to go into the hero course, right?" Cheers erupted in the classroom. All of them began to use their quirks in celebration. "Yes, yes, you all have wonderful quirks! But using your powers at school is against the rules!"
