Roman's POV

We stared at the long, winding tunnel before us with bated breath, as if some monster would appear from within the darkness to swallow us whole, but alas, no monster came. In fact, it was surprisingly quiet considering we just punched a hole through a cliff. "Whilst that worked, I would recommend being a little bit quieter if we don't wish to alert others of our presence," Logan said while throwing skeptical looks at the tunnel. "Oh my apologies Logan, next time I'll simply knock and wait for them to open the door," I replied sarcastically. "We don't even know if it is a 'them' or a 'who' or even a 'what'! That's why we need to be careful!" We began bickering once again and just as before, Patton decided to take a wander....into the hole. "All I'm saying is that we need to be logical in our decisions!" "That's your job! I just need to be creative and that' what I di-oh not again; PATTON!" I looked around to seem him creeping deeper into the tunnel. "Patton, please return this instant! We don't know what's down there!" "Yeah that's kinda the point, I'm investigating," he replied with a cheeky grin as he slowly began walking further into the tunnel. "But you'll get caught! Come back here and we can make a plan!" Logan whisper-yelled at him. Patton looked back at us and then back towards the tunnel, wishing to go further but knowing that Logan's logic was sound. He let out a sigh and then began the walk back to us. "That was extremely irresponsible! What if you had gone too far and we lost you?" Pat kept his head down, but I knew that he was on the verge of tears. "Hey Logan, lay off it will ya? He just wanted to find Virgil." "I understand that but he still needs to be careful and WE need to make a plan." Patton and I shared a nod before being the long walk back up the cliff.

<Time Skip> (Ohhh, that looks cool)

"Hey Virgil, how's it going? Job's been going well and we have a new case. It's funny actually, the case is about you. Your old roommate, Remy, got attacked by someone who looked a lot like you. Means I might be crazy, just talking to a chunk of rock when you're out there." I continued to talk to the unmarked gravestone as if I was hoping it would give me some clue on what to do next. I reached out and lay my hand on top of it and was about to stand when I saw something from the corner of my eye. I looked over to the tree and noticed that its shadow didn't match. I slowly rose to my feet and as softly as I could, approached. I got to about a foot away when a branch under my foot snapped and something or someone took off running. "HEY!" I shouted and took off after them. We ran down the hill, vaulted gravestones, and raced past the church. Then they ran into the cluster of trees and I lost them in the shadows. However that did not deter me and I continued to look. I got deeper and deeper into the trees until I was completely turned around. Then and only when I had given up hope of finding the mysterious person decide it would be funny to show themselves by jumping out of a tree. "HEYA ROMAN!" "GAH!" I screamed and jumped backward. "Holy shit! What's your pro-Remus?"
