Part 17-1(Bad Ending)

Virgil's POV

'I know that voice.' I stood up and turned to see.................. Remy. He was wearing his regular leather jacket, white shirt, jeans, and had a cup of coffee. "Remy, what's going on? Why are you here?" Roman stood too, "Wait I thought you died! Didn't Virgil kill you like, a few weeks ago?!" I turned to look at him, "I did what now?" "Later," he told me. I nodded and turned back to Remy. "You know, it's been proven that you wouldn't recognize your twin if you saw them on the street. But I am surprised that you never noticed the similarities between us Virgil." Then it clicked, "You're...you're a Side?" "No, I'm your evil twin. Yes, b*tch, I'm a Side," he said before waving his hand. Soldiers seemed to appear out of nowhere, guns pointed right at us. We were surrounded. "Remy, what are you doing? Also, how did you censor yourself?" He smirked and took a sip of his coffee, "What? Do you want me to do a whole villain monologue about my evil plan? Well since I'm going to win, I might as well."

"You see, when Thomas was split into us, I was very powerful. What child doesn't sleep all the time? But the scientist feared me and my ability to control people, so they locked me away. But when Thomas died and the Sander Sides project was terminated, I lost most of my power and was forgotten. So I made a plan. The scientists thought it was a good idea to keep me locked away because they feared my powers, so I would show them what real power was." He tossed a file to me. I opened it up to reveal a power chart.

"Full Control?" Roman asked, looking over my shoulder. "You can control people?" "It was you! You've been controlling us!" I shouted. "Well, of course, it was me, who else could it have been? Now if you would please let me continue my story, thanks b*tch. I had to find someone who would give me the unlimited resources that I would need. Where better to go then the government themselves? They, of course, were ecstatic about someone who could control people. Well some of them weren't, but I can be very...... persuasive if I want to be." He chuckled, his eyes flashing orange. "So it was a unanimous decision to give me soldiers and scientists to try and find the rest of you guys. It was quite funny to see their faces when they learned their new leader was only ten. My first order of business was to find the one with the most potential. That's where you come in my dearest Virgil. You weren't hard to find, nor was controlling that so-called father of yours. Though it's a shame that your mother had to die. It would have happened anyway but it was sad to speed up the process." I was seething, "You-You killed my mother!" I yelled and tried to throw myself at him but Roman stopped me. The sound of guns clicking filled the clearing and I saw that they were all trained on me. "Uh, rude! I was talking. Now, are you going to chill, or do I need to have them shoot you?" I growled and he just smirked. "I'll take that as a yes. Anyway, once you were alone, I needed to befriend you. What better way to do that then saving you from a 'drunk man?' But I couldn't just tell you who I was, so I made a fake name. Does 'G' sound familiar to you?" I gasped, remembering my friend that had been taken and killed by Janus. "And then you lead me right to Deceit! Everything was going according to plan until I realized, you couldn't use your powers! So I went to the only other Side I'd found and what would you know? Deceit and Remus were living together. Two birds, one stone. Once I had them though, controlling them was a whole different problem. I could only control them while they were asleep, but they just kept waking up! So I started to experiment with medicine and found this little thing called pentobarbital. Doctors use it to put patients in a coma, so why couldn't I do the same? And it worked! Unfortunately, Remus was able to escape but I knew I would find him eventually. Until then I worked on finding a way to activate your powers. Funnily enough, blood did the trick. I activated your powers, but you needed training. So I had Deceit tell you that he had kidnapped me and the rest is history. My face, of course, was erased from your memory so you wouldn't recognize me as your new roommate. You worked for Deceit and learned how to use your powers, it was great! And then you found not only Remus but the other Sides as well! But you three didn't have your memories! It was almost like the universe was telling me that my plan wouldn't work, but I'm persistent! I used 'Thomas' as an incentive for you to find each other, and you did! Everyone got their memories back and Deceit brought you to my shed so that I could come to collect you. AND THEN THE POLICE SHOWED UP AND TOOK YOU AWAY! It was so frustrating but I wouldn't give up so easily. I planned on getting Virgil back on my own, but you guys did it for me! And you went exactly where I needed you to go! All I had to do was be ready when you so selflessly threw yourself off a cliff. Everything was perfect until I learned of a much greater power. The power of all of us, together. We ARE reality. We control it! And if I could harness that power, I could rule the world. So I sent my dear Anxiety back into the world. We faked my death and then you were all looking for him. You almost walked right into my open arms but decided that it 'wasn't safe', b*tch, please, you're cops! So I had to send him BACK to you. And thankfully, you followed him back this time! Using the vents to get around was quite impressive and you almost got away with my dear Anxiety. But you must not have realized that he was mine. And I caught you. Putting Roman under my control was too easy but can you imagine my surprise when I learned that not only had you two escaped, but Virgil was with you? And THEN DECEIT GOT AWAY TOO! Oh, I was so angry, but.......here we are." He finished with a bow. "So what are you going to do with us?" Patton asked. Remy huffed, "Didn't I just tell you? I'm going to steal your powers to control the planet!" he chuckled and pulled a strange looking gun out from behind his back. "Now who should go first? The sweet one, the emo one, the smart one, or the brave one?" He said, pointing the gun between us. "Hmm, how about the one that's caused me the most trouble," he then turned the gun towards me. "Any last words?"

"Yeah, fuck you!! I trusted you, Remy, we were friends!" I screamed at him. "Were we though? You were an awful roommate. You didn't even clean up the blood in the bathroom, do you know how much bacteria is in blood? It's gross." he said to me and then fired the gun. The bullet landed directly in the center of my chest. I looked down and saw my shirt turning darker. I heard yelling and screaming around me but all I could focus on was the rushing of blood in my ears. I fell backward but was caught by a pair of arms. I looked to see Roman, he was crying. Patton's face appeared in front of me and I felt pressure being put on my chest. My vision began to blur and the desire to sleep overcame me. My eyes shut and everything went dark.

Roman's POV

I held Virgil in my arms as Patton tried to heal him. "I'm-I'm out of power! I can't heal him!" He cried. I watched as Virgil shut his eyes and his breathing stopped. "No...nonononono! Wake up, Virgil. WAKE UP!" I cried and hugged him closer to my chest. "You killed him," I heard Patton say, his voice soft and angry. "No, really? I hadn't noticed. But look, his death wasn't pointless." I brought Virgil away from me, only to see that a purple mist was seeping out of the bullet wound. It was being pulled towards Remy. "What did you do?" Logan asked. "I found a way to take your powers. I took his, and now I'll take the rest of yours," he chuckled and pointed the gun at Logan, and fired. Patton pushed him out the way but took the bullet for himself. "PATTON!" Logan and I cried. Patton fell to the ground, coughing. Blood fell from his mouth and seeped out of his wound. Another shot went off and Logan collapsed next to Patton. Deceit tried to get to them but was met by a bullet straight to the temple. "JANU-!" Remus wailed but was cut off by another bullet. The clearing was now filled with green, yellow, dark blue, purple, and light blue smoke. I slowly rose to my feet, my family, dead at my feet. I turned to face Remy, seeing red. I was so angry, I couldn't even control my powers. Witches, trolls, dwarfs, and so many other monsters started to pop up all around me. The soldiers started firing towards us. The monsters attacked them and it was a horrible massacre. With the soldiers distracted, I charged Remy. He simply smiled and waited for me to approach. Once I was in punching distance though, the gun was suddenly right in my face. I saw him pull the trigger and then...
