The boy, who's name I discovered was Chris Mariano, and I met in the same spot in the beach everyday that week.
"So why'd you get kicked out of your old foster family?" I asked as we sat on the beach throwing pebbles into the sea.
"They found drugs in my room."
"Ah. That all? Come on I can tell there is something else you're not telling me."
"I....like fire ok?"
"Oh god what did you burn down?"
"My school," he admitted.
"Wow, I mean if you're gonna commit arson you may as well go big." I laughed.
"I didn't fully burn it down ok I just...warmed it up a little." He said, beginning to laugh too.
"My sister did the same, she burned down an entire block of classrooms." I told him.
"You have a sister? I thought you only had a brother." He asked.
"Daniel is my adoptive brother, I had a sister too but she died...over dose. I don't even know who my birth parents are, my sister and I got taken away when I was a baby and we got moved round a lot of foster homes. She was fifteen years older than me so no one was as willing to adopt her and she over dosed when she was only seventeen. I got adopted that same year and honestly I can't remember her that well but I have a photo of her my adoptive parents gave me. Fuck sorry I don't even know why I'm telling you this." I blushed.
"Nah it's ok, you can tell me anything. Is it insane if I tell you I trust you more than anyone? I don't even know you." He said.
"Yeah I feel the same." I agreed and with that he took my hand and pulled me up so we were standing close to each other and then brushed my hair from my face.
"You have the most beautiful eyes you know that? Seriously, I've never seen eyes that blue." He smiled.
"That's why my name is Livie, it means blue." I explained.
"Well my little blue eyed baby, have you got anywhere to be?" He asked.
"No." I replied.
"Then let me show you something."
