Ricky blinked his eyes. God, the sun hurt. His head was throbbing as he lay on a wooden floor. He felt sick.

What the hell happened last night?

All Ricky could remember was going to his friend, Shawn's year end party. It was nearing the end of grade 12 and they had decided to have a bit of fun. Everyone had brought drinks. Ricky squeezed his eyes shut and grabbed his head. The wooden floor he was laying on started to rock back and forth.

Ricky sat up slowly. "Ugh."

Yup, definitely a hangover.

He looked around him, shielding his eyes from the harsh sun. It turns out that he was on Shawn's dad's fishing boat. A tackle box was shoved under one of the benches.

Wha-? The boat started rocking again and Ricky leaned over the edge of the edge of the boat and hurled.

Ugh....this is not okay.

He looked around to see that he was in the middle of the lake that was outside of the cabin. Ricky grabbed his head.

God, that must have been some party. He chuckled to himself. Suddenly his eyes caught something floating in the water. He leaned farther out of the boat to try and get a better look.

Holy shit.

Out there, floating in the lake, was the body of a little girl. No less then seven years old. She was floating on her back, only a few feet away from his boat. Her face was pale and almost completely white, her eyes were grey and flung open wide. Dead like a fish and, like what she had seen before her death was terrifying. The child's mouth was open in a silent scream, one that would never be heard. She was in a plain white gown that was flowing along with the subtle waves.

Ricky covered his mouth and backed away from the side. He stared down at his hands.

"I-I can't remember a thing." His hands started to shake wildly.

"What have I done?"
