Ricky blinked. I bright white light shone above his head. There was a faint beep, beep, beep in the background. His leg throbbed and he gripped the plain white sheets beneath him in pain. The beeping sped up.
"Don't worry Hun, I'm just mixing up your medicine now." A woman with blond braided hair says, stirring a glass of water. "You had quite a crash there. You're lucky you survived." She smiled, handing over the cup. He heard the beeping slow.
It's one of those heart monitor thingys.
"Now drink up and I'll be back with the doctor."
Crash? Oh. The crash. Ricky's grip tightened on the glass. The beeping started going crazy. The blood. The fire. The car. The girl.
The girl.
It all started racing into his mind at once. He dropped the glass on his lap and wildly looked around the dull white room. The girl. "WHERE ARE YOU!" He screamed. "IF YOU WANT TO TORMENT ME WHY STOP THERE!" She shouted. Ricky's brain was a blur, it's like he couldn't control himself anymore. The girl was driving him to the edge of insanity. The girl. A group of people ran into the room. "WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU!" He shouted again, gripping him head.
"Hun, I'm going to ask you to lay back down." A hand touched his shoulder. Suddenly the faint beeping that was shielded in the back of his thoughts slowed. It slowed, then it stopped. He screamed and shoved the person hard, they fell back into a table with a row of needles on it. Ricky didn't hear a sound but there sure was one. There had to be. A nurse with blond, braided hair lay on the ground, unmoving. Needles sticking out of her arms and legs. The doctors were shouting something into the phone, one ran up to him with a large blue needle and stuck it in the side of his neck. The last thing Ricky saw was the pale, screaming face of a girl. Of the girl, before his vision clouded and darkness seeped in, joined the deafening silence of the beep that wasn't there.
