Chapter 3

"Oops sorry" Stacey says giggling

"You did that on purpose!" I yell

"What? I would never do something like that." she said smirking

"Stacey, you know you did that on purpose. Give up the act." Agu says

"Ya. Maybe I did, but it's not like you're gonna do anything about it huh Mystique?"

"Stacey, you need to leave me alone. Don't you have a life?"

"Um ya it's pretty obvious I do." Stacey replies

"Well it's sure doesn't seem like it cause your so obsessed with me and my life, it's like you forgot you had your own."
I say sweetly

" Listen to me Sparks. I will make your life a living hell. You better watch your back." She threatens

"Oh I would Stacey, but I think for that to happen I would have to care what you think...oops"
I reply with a grin

"Uhh!" She screams as she storms off

"Mysti, you handled that so well!" Says Kaeli

"Ya! Good job!" Says Julia

"Thanks guys, but she's still on my case. I just stood up for myself."

"Well you did pretty darn good." Says my friend Melanny

After school I started walking home. Ya I know I took the bus in the morning but my house isn't really far, just a couple miles. I usually like the exercise.

"Hey hot stuff."

I hear from behind me
"Oh shit." I think to myself

Josh walks up next to me.
"I think I'll walk home with you today"

Did I forget to mention Josh lives in the same neighborhood as me? Ya, he does.

"So I heard you got in a fight with my girlfriend."

"No. It wasn't a fight. For it to be a fight, both sides would have to equally put in effort. I didn't cause I only like challenges."

"Oh. I see. I know you're jealous of her and all, but you really shouldn't argue."
Josh says

"Why should I be jealous of her? I don't care if she's too rich to function. It's obvious her family bribed the school into letting her in cause she wasn't smart enough."
I say angrily

"Oh, I know she has money. I also know you don't care. I just feel bad that you two have to fight over me. Mysti you know I'm taken."
Says Josh with a smirk

"God. Get over yourself already." I say

"Stop. I know you secretly love me. You are just to scared to show it."

"You wish Josh."

"No. I know Mysti . I know."

"Geez get a life already." I say walking faster

"Don't try to walk away from me. We have the same destination." he says

I laugh a little to myself but I don't let him see
