I walked into the school with Kyle this morning since we were now officially dating. We smiled at each other as we parted ways, I went to my friends and he went to his. We weren't that lovey dovey kind of couple, we were just the normal couple. When I reached my friends, they were all grinning, especially Mariah.

"I know, I know, you're gonna say, you're gonna say I told you so" I said as I opened my locker to get my books.

"It took you long enough!" Charlie shouted.

"He only asked like what a few days ago or something?" I said.

"Still, he gave you a long time to think about it but you decided to say yes yesterday night!" Niomi shouted and I rolled my eyes.

"Would you shut up and let Mariah talk" I said, pointing at Mariah.

"Well I'm proud of you" Mariah smiled.

"You sound like a mother" I laughed.

"Really? Really dude? That's what you think?" Mariah asked, putting one hand on her hip and smiling.

"Yes, sorry" I shrugged and we all laughed.

I saw Gavin walk in through the doors of the school with a hoodie over his head and trying to avoid everyone as he walked by since everyone was staring at him, he even walked by his friends, ignoring them as he did. I told my friends that I had to get to the bathroom and followed Gavin to the back of the school where no one could see him and where the shadow takes over that part of the area, that's why no one is allowed to go there.

I hid behind the wall as Gavin looked around before taking off the hoodie from his head. My eyes widen as I covered my mouth from gasping out loud. Gavin had a black eye and he looked tired as ever but I noticed the cut on his lip and the cut on his cheeks that looked like scars. Who could of done that to him? I can't stand here anymore so I walked out of my hiding place and to Gavin. Gaving noticed me and his widen. Gavin tried to hide his face with the hoodie again but I already saw the damage.

"What the fuck happened to you?" I demanded to know.

"Nothing happened!" Gavin shouted, turning his back on me. I put my hand on his shoulder and turned him around to face me.

"I know you got angry and went looking for trouble, I know how you gget when your parents fight Gavin" I said.

"Yeah but you have no idea what I'm going through" Gavin argued.

"I lost my dad! I went through worse then what you did! I would kill to have my father back, even if they did start fighting! So don't argue with me!" I shouted and Gavin had a look of shock. "You have no idea what I went through after you left me" I whispered as I looked down at the ground.

"I-I'm sorry" Gavin stuttered, a look of pity now crossing his face.

"Don't pity me" I grumbled.

"I'm not" Gavin said.

"Listen, would you just tell me how you got beaten up like this?" I asked.

"It's like I said, it's nothing" Gavin said.

"Don't give me that bullshit Gavin, Melissa told me you ran away yesterday" I said, putting one hand on my hip.

"Damn it" Gavin mumbled.

"Where were you last night?" I asked.

"Listen, I'm ok so just leave it" Gavin said.

"Not till you tell me" I said.

"Just get out of here would ya!?" Gavin shouted, furious.

I stepped back from his out burst as Gavin glared at me with a furious look in his eyes towards me. I turned around and ran away but I heard my name being called but I ignored it anyway and kept running, what a jerk. I ran into the bathroom and into one of the stalls. I put my back against the door and I sighed. I calm myself down and got out of the stall. I went to wash my face but I noticed I was crying from the tears streaming down my face in my reflection of me.
