Chapter 14 - I Wonder Where We're Going?

I woke up Monday morning bright and early because of work again, fuck. I quickly got ready and said my goodbyes to my mum. I ran out the door and hopped onto my motorcycle. I speeded off to work quickly as I could. Once I was there, I ran inside and put my uniform on. I yawned and sat on the counter, waiting for any customers to walk in.

I thought about the holidays since I did nothing after that day I went out with Kyle and had a girls night with my best friends. Apparently, Lola decided to change the date of the carnival so it's in five weeks time from now, on valentine's day since she wants it to be very special but I find it really stupid because she also thought that we send out notes to their valentines by people who ask us to and we give them a rose with that heart shaped letter.

It may sound cute but imagine how many raging girls will be on the loose because their boyfriends got like 50 letters from random girls, so yeah, it's stupid and a scary idea unless you like seeing girls screaming at their boyfriends and slapping them, trust me, I've seen it happen a lot in this school, mostly the popular boys.

Anyway, at night of that day, the carnival will go on and we will have a lot of rides and games. The games have stuffed toys, like a teddy bear holding a heart, saying 'I love you' in fancy writing. They will be lots of food, of course, and much decoration and toys and etc. Most of the stuff will be based off love so the food may be in heart shapes, like the chocolates I know for sure. I sighed and rolled my eyes as the thought of the carnival since I still had to work the kissing booth, damn it.

"Hey babe" I heard from behind me making me snap back to reality. I turned my head to see Kyle, smiling at me and I smiled back. I jumped off the counter and hugged him. Kyle hugged back, tightly and kissed my cheek.

"Morning Kyle, what's up?" I asked as we pulled away from the hug.

"Nothing, you?" Kyle asked.

"Just being bored" I said and Kyle laughed.

I saw Selena walk in but when she saw me, she avoided eye contact and walked into the bathroom. She looked nervous and a bit off today, I wonder why? I mean everyday she would usually insult me or something, even around Kyle sometimes.

"Is Selena ok?" I asked.

"Oh yeah she is, she's just tired" Kyle said, now looking nervous.

"Ok, well I'm going to go check on her" I said.

I walked off into the girls bathroom but only to see Selena, mumbling to herself in front of the mirror. I looked at her strangely.

"Selena?" I said and she jumped a bit.

"Oh it's you" Selena said before turning her head back to the mirror.

"Are you alright, you seem a bit off this morning" I said.

"It's nothing Lillian" Selena said.

"Ok, now I know somethings wrong, you just called me by my name" I said, getting worried now.

"What would you do if you knew someone was cheating on you?" Selena asked, out of no where.

"I'd kick him to the curb" I said.

"I'm serious Lillian" Selena said, frowning and I sighed.

"Ok, Selena, if that happened, I'd dump him straight off the bat and try to move on" I said, honestly.

"Really?" Selena asked and I nodded.

"Yup but why are you asking this? Did something happen?" I asked.

"Yes, well you know-" Selena was cut off by a knock at the bathroom door.

"You two, you got work to do" I heard Kyle say.
