'I used to wanna be, Living like there's only me, And now I spend my time, Thinking 'bout a way to get you off my mind'
My phone blasted out the song, 'Somebody To You by The Vamps and Demi Lovato' as my ringtone. I groaned and tried to ignore it but it always got louder when ever I didn't answer the fucking phone. I huffed and sat up. My hair was curled and sticking everywhere. I grabbed the phone and answered it without checking the caller ID.
"Hello?" I yawned.
"Get up and get your butt downstairs Lillian Grace!" I heard my mother's 'sweet' voice.
"Really mum? We live in the same house?" I asked as I stood up from my bed and stretched my arms.
"Yeah but I'm lazy to go upstairs, you know me Lillian" my mum joked and I chuckled.
"I know, I'll be downstairs, hasta la vista" I said before hanging up.
Well, that's my mum for you, she calls me every morning to get me out of my bed and get ready for school or a special event. Me and my mum love to mess around and joke around with each other because we're weird so deal with it. My father died when I was ten years old when a drunk guy shot him, he was a great officer and a great man. My mum had cried and locked herself in her room for weeks that I felt sad for her but she eventually got out of her room when she noticed I needed her most.
My two best friends, Niomi and Charlie, are the only people who know about my father and that I'm practically poor with just enough money to pay the rent on our house. In school, people think of me as the tough one that no one messes with, which is true because everyone in my school are either:
One - Jackasses (Bad Boys)
Two - Perves
Three - Cheerleaders
Four - Jocks
Five - Just plain idiotic and stupid
My school is the worst school because as you can see, it's quite a cliché school, full of cliché people that act like they are just fabulous! But in reality, they're just selfish and full of shit. Anyway, it was 6 o'clock in the morning meaning I have to go to work before they open up at 6:30am. My school starts at 9:30am but I need the extra money so I still work before school even if it's a short amount of time plus I meet my friends there so we can all go to school together.
I got dressed in my uniform which was just a blue dress with an apron. I grabbed my bag and stuffed some clothes to change in because my shift ends at 8:30am. The school is literally across the road but no one and I mean no one goes into that café, don't know why though. I keep my bag with the uniform in it at the café so after school, I can quickly get dressed to do more work till midnight.
"Morning mum" I greeted as I slided down the stair railing and jumped onto the ground.
"Morning sweetie" My mum greeted back.
I walked into the kitchen and sat down. My mum smiled at me and gave me some eggs with toast for breakfast. I started to eat my breakfast as my mum sat in front of me with a cup of coffee and newspaper in her hands. Once I was done with my food, I kissed my mum's cheek goodbye before running out of the house and to my motorcycle. Hey! Don't judge! It's the only thing I could afford right now plus it looked awesome and I just had to have it. I put my helmet on and got on the motorcycle before driving off to the café.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I finally got to the café and I got off my motorcycle. I walked into the café to see my two friends sitting on a bar stool by the counter, talking to each other. I smiled and walked over, behind the counter. They stopped talking and smiled at me.
