CHAPTER 3: Newcomers

The cab stopped and the driver announced: « We are at Dana's Madam ».

« How much will it be? » she asked.

« 20,50$ please » the driver replied. She quickly gave him the money asking him to keep the difference. She got down the car and entered Dana's. She had a little heart ache remembering the last time she was here with Sophie. She kept walking in the bar searching for Bette and her friends when she accidentally bumped into someone who apparently had drinks in her hands because the bumping had knocked them down.

« Oh damn it » the stranger said with a quite beautiful British accent.

« I'm so sorry, I don't know why I was this much in my thoughts, what an idiot. Are you okay? » Dani asked apologetically.

« I'm fine but the drinks are less » she said smiling, she had long dark hair and blue piercing eyes.

« Let me make it up to you, what was it? » Dani asked again.

« Drop it, it's okay. But here's an advice. Look where you walk » the gorgeous woman said.

« Will do » Dani added. Wow, that was quite intense she thought and what a spectacular body, plus that accent. Those eyes... She realized she was standing still for a while now. « Come on Dani, look for Bette that's all. » she thought.

She then continued searching for her when someone yelled: « Dani you made it! Come here let me introduce you to my friends. » Bette added in her yelling. She turned around and found herself in front of four other women, all kinds of middle-aged but very good looking.

« Dani meet Shane... » an androgynous woman with short brown hair who she bet was sleeping around a lot but seemed really cool. « Hi » Shane said smirking. Dani nodded.

« and meet Alice » Bette said, she was a blonde, wait a minute, Sophie's boss... « Hi! » Alice said with a really shrill voice. Dani replied pretending not to know her.

« and please meet Tina » Bette's ex she thought, wow she was looking fine. Dani was focused on Tina, talking a little when Bette added: « and this is Helena Peabody ». Dani took a moment to face the brunette who said: « Oh I know you. » Dani was surprised to see that she was the one she had bumped into earlier. Dani didn't know what to say and smiled sturdily until she managed to find her voice again: « I'm pleased to meet you all, I'm Dani Nuñez. » Alice took Helena aside by the forearm: « Did you two already met? » Alice asked.

« Earlier, she's the one who threw our drinks by accident » Helena added.

« Nice catch Peabody » Alice proudly before giggling. This evening is going to be interesting, Helena thought smirking.
