CHAPTER 5: Lost

The two women got back to their table where Alice had decided to do shots with Shane and Bette. She seemed quite drunk but in fact all of them were. 

Dani and Helena smiled at each other seeing their friends this drunk. Both of them ordered a round of shots as well.

« How many cigarettes did you guys smoke exactly? It took you like foreveer » Alice asked.

« We talked and it lasted Alice. But the interesting question would be, how much did you drink exactly? » Helena replied. Alice didn't answer to that question and simply laughed at her. 

« So you guys made out already? » Alice asked whispering into Helena's ear.

« Don't be stupid Alice » the brunette said as her face was turning all red.

« Well you can't deny that she's hot !» Alice said but then stopped realizing she had said this out loud, she made a weird face because of how awkward things suddenly got. 

She cleared her throat as if it'd make the situation less embarrassing and hoped the sound of the music had covered this. Bette and Tina made fun of her. Dani was seating next to Bette and didn't catch who the two of them were talking about.

« Tell me, you like Helena? » Bette asked discreetly, smiling as if she had smoked all the pot available in California. Dani was surprised of how the two of them got from her being her boss to this and then smiled too. 

« We only talked but I'd lie saying she is unbearable and hideous if that's what you're referring to. » Dani said and then took a shot before biting a lemon. Bette giggled and when Tina asked her what was going on she didn't say a word. 

She only stood there smiling as a drunk person does.

« You guys manage to be friends, it's nice. » Dani told Bette.

« It took us some time but yes, it's the best for Angie. » Bette replied.

The group ordered other drinks after Helena and Dani finished their shots. All of them were starting to be really really drunk when Alice interrupted all conversations as screaming: « Now let's go dance you guys! »

Everyone cheered Alice and got up. Bette started dancing with Alice and Tina with Shane. Dani was dancing alone caught by the rhythm of the song when someone grabbed her by the hips from behind to turn her around. It was Helena. 

Soon enough, the temperature escalated and Dani went to her jacket at their table. Helena stared at her doing so lingering on Dani's abs. She definitely wasn't expecting this. The brunette quickly looked at the others having fun when Dani finally came back from their table and started dancing to the rhythm of the new song playing. 

They were getting closer, Helena kept holding her by the hips. Her touch was now irradiating Dani's skin. The brunette lifted her hands as dancing until she ended up touching Dani's ribs where her tee-shirt was letting some skin of her side-boob show.

At this moment, Dani could only think about this time Sophie did so in this exact same bar and suddenly stopped Helena.

« I'm sorry, I can't do this » Dani declared as leaving, taking her jacket before exiting the bar as if she was never there.
